New details from ABC 11 in Raleigh, N.C., about the Muslim man who plowed into students on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus today:
The driver of an SUV that plowed into a group of pedestrians at UNC-Chapel Hill on Friday told police it was retribution for the treatment of Muslims around the world, according to ABC News.
It happened around noon Friday in front of Lenoir Hall on the campus, in a common area known as the Pit. Paramedics took six people to UNC Hospitals. Five had been released by Friday evening and the sixth was not expected to be admitted.
Officials say none of the people were seriously injured. Three refused treatment at the scene.
Chapel Hill police say they arrested the suspect, Mohammed Reza Taheriazar, 23, of Chapel Hill, shortly after the incident. Several witnesses were able to give police the rented Jeep Cherokee's license plate number.
Police said they would charge Taheriazar, a psychology major who graduated from UNC last semester, with several counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
...Sources say Taheriazar told police he was seeking retribution for the treatment of Muslims around the world, according to ABC News justice correspondent Pierre Thomas. Taheriazar apparently told police he tried to rent the biggest SUV he could find to use in the attack.
By Friday afternoon, a police SWAT team had surrounded a Carrboro apartment complex where Taheriazar reportedly lived.
Taheriazar is a native of Iran and a December 2005 UNC graduate, according to the Raleigh News and Observer.

The Muslim empire incorporated numerous varied peoples which had their own religion, culture, language and civilization. For centuries, these indigenous, pre-Islamic peoples constituted the great majority of the population of the Islamic lands. Although these populations differed, they were ruled by the same type of laws, based on the shari'a.
This similarity, which includes also regional variations, has created a uniform civilization developed throughout the centuries by all non-Muslim indigenous people, who were vanquished by a jihad-war and governed by shari'a law. It is this civilization which is called dhimmitude. It is characterized by the different strategies developed by each dhimmi group to survive as non-Muslim entity in their Islamized countries. Dhimmitude is not exclusively concerned with Muslim history and civilization. Rather it investigates the history of those non-Muslim peoples conquered and colonized by jihad.
Dhimmitude encompasses the relationship of Muslims and non-Muslims at the theological, social, political and economical levels. It also incorporates the relationship between the numerous ethno-religious dhimmi groups and the type of mentality that they have developed out of their particular historical condition which lasted for centuries, even in some Muslim countries, till today.
Dhimmitude is an entire integrated system, based on Islamic theology. It cannot be judged from the circumstantial position of any one community, at a given time and in a given place. Dhimmitude must be appraised according to its laws and customs, irrespectively of circumstances and political contingencies.

Where'd you get that Unertl? I've got one of SAs scopes on top of mine. I'm pretty happy with it, but I haven't really beaten the crap out of it yet. Hope I never have to, but those Unertls take a licking and keep on ticking.
Damn....now I'll have to rearrange the gun safe again. It's getting pretty crowded in there.

Sub inch groups at 200 yards are discussed at the site. Yet I can hit a 1 inch group all day at 100 with just iron sights easly snap shooting from a bull bag on the hood of the truck.

My story is that I am collecting US military small arms from the 20 century. So all I need is a Garand and an '03 Springfield to round things out so to speak.
I'm exempting that horrible 9mm sidearm mistake on general principle.

Because UNC is a muzzy friendly campus and he's really just mis-understood. And besides, it's not his fault, it's society's fault. Actually, according to Bennish and other really smart liberal socialists this incident is really all Bush's fault.

I read where he was being charged with multipal counts of assault with a deadly weapon. What about multiple counts of attemted murder? That was his intent when he rented the largest SUV he could find for this attack.
