That is neither here nor there. General Lee would in no way share your disdain for Grant. Nor any other Southern military man. It is the kind of thing a newspaper reporter would say sitting FAR from the frontlines.
No knowledgeable person would claim such a thing.
I am quite knowledgable. I have studied Grants tactics. His one advantage was to throw as many bodies in as possible to achieve victory. (Cold Harbor, for example, which he STILL lost)
