"The Unbearable Whiteness of Barbie: Race and Popular Culture in the United States" is a class offered at Occidental College in California. The course studies ways in "which scientific racism has been put to use in the making of Barbie [and] to an interpretation of the film The Matrix' as a Marxist critique of capitalism."
The same college also offers "Stupidity," a class which studies comparisons between the American president and "Beavis and Butthead."
At Alfred University, students can enroll in "Nip, Tuck, Perm, Pierce, and Tattoo: Adventures with Embodied Culture." Those in this class will study "teeth whitening, tanning, shaving, and hair dyeing" in addition to watching Arnold Schwarzenegger's bodybuilding movie, "Pumping Iron."
Amherst College offers the course "Taking Marx Seriously: Should Marx be given another chance?" To that I say, "No." Marxism really shouldn't be given another chance. It's brought poverty and despair to every government that's ever tried it; what makes people think it would be any different today?

Bovine/ovine stupidity. Abolish tenure. Make state universities pay their own way. End tax subsidies for lazy, Bolshevik and terrorist professors.
underwater basket weaving.
The other morning I heard something that scared me. A bunch of medical schools were bragging about how they were increasing thier minority enrollment by going out recruiting. No mention of trying to get the best, just the minorities.
In other news, the sun rose in the east today (gasp!)...
That's just brilliant. So in 20 years when all of the best doctors are white, they are going to complain when people don't want to go to minority doctors.
Idiots.
Un-freaking believable! Any son or daughter of mine who would willinglystudy such idiocy would not get a cup of coffee out of me, much less tuition-I would not care if they had to wait tables and wash dishes until they're 85 years old to pay for it!/rant off
When Simon would conduct his games on Arthur Godfrey, Steve Allen and other early TV variety shows he would validate his strength by giving his last "Simon Says" command. He would direct everyone to "Jump into the air!" When everyone landed he would announce that they were "outta the game" because he didn't order them to come down!
We see Islamic riots regarding cartoons but there is no angst when I am brow beaten for saying midget instead of "little people" or "height challenged individuals"
Gimme a break! I have "Freedom of Speech" guarenteed by our constitution and intend to exercise it. You dumbells!
(Rant Over)
Groucho, Gummo, Minnie, Zeppo, Frenchy, Chico and Harpo.
Yeah I'd give them a second chance!
Karl, and all those nitwits who follow him, can stick it where the sun don't shine. No one is more STUPID than a Marxist.
LOL!
Sure, the schools and professors are idiots. But who are the bigger idiots paying for this sh--?
It's called fascism..
Yeah. How about Astronomy?
"Hick! Hey, iz dat Alpa, hick, Centauri? Hick!"
"That wasn't really Marxism. Real Marxism would succeed if given a chance. Just that some really bad people made it fail."
Above quote from a friend. As if 100 million dead isn't enough to convince them.
"End tax subsidies for lazy, Bolshevik and terrorist professors."
Amen. They showed us what they will do while on the government teat. Get them OFF.
In 20 years our health care will be socialized and you'll be told which doctor to go to.
Yup.
Today's college freshman is more apt to think Astronomy is a course in the Gay Studies program.
So the next time you confront a leftist who wants to give communism another go, it's best not to argue, "Communism/Socialism have never succeeded," but rather, "Communism/Socialism have never succeeded in a society where not every person was willing to take a vow of poverty."
