Changing your life at 71 is fine if thats what he/she wants. What i do not agree with is bringing it into a school with young children. I hope he/she has tough skin because school children can be quite mean. I feel for the family of this person. I think its a selfish thing to do at 71, if you have lived this long as a man then just stick it out and dont embarrass your family . Or if you have to do it then move somewhere else and start over where nobody knows who you are or were. I think he/she likes all the media attention, its been all over NJ news.
You're right about kids being mean...I don't know about kindergarten kids though.
