Islamic Leaders Step From Behind the Curtain

It should be obvious to even the most unobservant among us that the choreographed reaction to the Danish editorial cartoons has been a very methodical and well-thought-out plan by intellectual Islamic leaders.

The worldwide “outrage” expressed by Muslims was not spontaneous. Had the rage been expressed over five months ago, when the editorials were first published, an argument could have been made that the anger was genuine. Instead, the indignation has evolved into a policy-changing event that has exposed a higher level of Islam: The world government of Islam. Some of the leaders within Islam have stepped out from behind the curtain and shown their faces.

Most news readers are familiar with the military branch of Islam. There are the more infamous groups such as al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah and some lesser known branches like the Islamic Martyr’s Brigade. Consider those groups the Islamic army and marines. Islam has a very robust recruiting operation that promises what no money can buy: 72 virgins and an endless paradise awaiting all martyrs. Of course, there is no real verification that this “Islam Wants You!” slogan is actual fact, but that doesn’t seem to deter young men from signing on the dotted line.

With Hamas now in charge of the Israeli problem, the powers-that-be within Islam have been able to turn their attention to the world at large.

As with any entity, there must be someone in charge. There must be someone calling the shots and approving the plans. The world now knows who a few of those people are, and Osama bin Laden is probably not one of them.

Bin Laden is a general but he is kept on a short leash by those above him, because Bin Laden has no real understanding of how the Western mind works. He is the proverbial bull-in-a-china-shop. Bin Laden is useful at times, but unpredictable. He is a good recruiter but a poor diplomat. Few of Islam’s far-reaching plans can be accomplished by brute force. Indeed, the leaders of Islam know that man-for-man on the battlefield their usually under-equipped and uneducated forces don’t stand a chance against and American soldier or Marine. So, the political machine within Islam has swung into motion.

In Pakistan, it is Qazi Hussain Ahmed, the leader of the large radical terrorist group Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal. Ahmed is working to overthrow Musharraf and replace him with a strict Islamic government. Islamic leaders in Pakistan are using the cartoons as an excuse to weaken the leadership of the secular, pro-American president. The overthrow of Musharraf would also have the added bonus of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal falling into the hands of Islamic terrorists. One well placed bullet would make Islam’s dream come true. In the blink of an eye, Islam would be a nuclear power.

Palestinian immigrant to Denmark, Imam Ahmad Abu Laban, is one man who can be identified as part of the hierarchy of Islam. Laban is the Islamic who took the Danish cartoons to a meeting of powerful Islamic leaders in Saudi Arabia and, feeling those published cartoons might not be sufficient to enrage the average Muslim, added a few cartoons of his own. These fake cartoons were quickly identified by the West, but to the average uneducated Muslim on the street, the accusation of fraud leveled against a powerful imam was just another outrage. After all, the average Muslim believes that Muslims don’t lie.

Another powerful Islamic leader is the Saudi Sheikh Yussef Al-Qaradawi, the founder of the global Islamic organization called “The Islamic Brotherhood.” Al-Qaradawi is a strong advocate of strict Islamic law who tells his followers that killing American troops in Iraq will be rewarded, that homosexuals should be hung, and that husbands should beat their wives. He also teaches that “martyrdom” for Islam is the duty of every Muslim.

But this Islamic government is not new. In 2003, a group of 225 Islamist clerics, scholars, and businessmen, including Laban and Al-Qaradawi, met in Saudi Arabia to plan the future actions of Islam and to network the supporters of global jihad against the evil “crusading” West. Islam needed direction and leadership and this group was there to provide just that.

Certainly, not all the plans can be roadside bombs and stupid young men willing to blow themselves up. Political plans must be made. Changes in the West must come from within. The world is now witness to some of those plans.

The political cartoons in Denmark gave the Islamic leaders the catalyst they had been waiting for, but careful plans had to be made. Even though the cartoons were now five months old, Imam Laban took them to Saudi Arabia where the global plans for the “spontaneous” riots were laid out. Orders then went down the chain of command to the mosques to show the cartoons and instruct the followers to take to the streets demanding that Islam be given respect. The Islamic leaders knew that the riots would have to be prolonged and, if the riots became violent, that would be better. Violence breeds fear.

Embassies were burned and looted. Ambassadors and citizens from many nations were told to leave the area and return home. Flags were burned and bounties placed on the heads of the men who dared blaspheme Islam.

At first, most countries held fast to their long-standing belief in freedom of speech, so the riots continued. People died in the frenzy but the Islamic leaders didn’t care. What is the life of some lowly Muslim to them? If this were a chess game, those in the streets would be the pawns. They can’t do much for Islam but riot, kill, and die. That is their purpose. There are hundreds of millions of them and they are all expendable.

So what has this foray into politics won for Islam? It has gotten Islam plenty.

Australia has passed a law making it an offense to “blaspheme” Islam. Any person convicted must pay a fine and apologize to Muslims everywhere. Daniel Scot has already been arrested under the new law and is forcing what he considers to be a violation of his rights to the highest court in the land.

In Norway, Muslims have discovered a long-unused “blasphemy” law and intend on using it to charge anyone with blasphemy who dares speak ill of Islam. Everyone must realize that to even question the superiority of Islam over all other religions will be considered blasphemy. The Norwegian courts will soon be overwhelmed.

Newspapers have been tripping over themselves to apologize for even considering running the cartoons, and a former American president has more or less sided with Islam. This same president, Bill Clinton, had no comments about the times when anti-Christian “art” and cartoons filled the editorial pages of American papers. No mention was made of the filthy cartoons depicting Jews as pigs and monkeys that run frequently in Islamic papers, or the Islamic children’s cartoons glorifying suicide bombers. There was, however, a weak statement that all religions should be respected by everyone. It is unlikely that the “all religions deserve respect” statement will be repeated to the Islamic masses.

A former American vice president accepted a large sum of money to stand before a crowd of Muslims in Saudi Arabia to degrade and badmouth his own country.

While condemning violence, the United Nations has chastised those that printed the cartoons while remaining silent on the sins and butchery of Islam.

Knowing that violence would not be tolerated in America does not mean that we escaped the wrath of Islam. An Islamic group in New York City called the “Islamic Thinker’s Society” took to the streets to warn Americans: “We are here to tell you that there is nothing you can do--and that your days are numbered...all of you who disbelieve: speak good, or Allah will silence you.”

All around the world, Muslims burn the American flags during riots over cartoons that were published in Denmark. This is not a mistake. It is ordered by the leaders of Islam. After all, tiny Denmark is no threat to Islam, but America is.

The Islamic government’s message was received loud and clear. Do not speak badly about Islam. Do not dare to tell the truth about Islam or it will send the expendable pawns out to riot and kill and burn. To further their point, Christian churches were burned and innocent Christians, who had nothing to do with any cartoons, have been killed as well. Islam’s message is this: See what we can do when you make us angry? And the world is caving in to Islam’s demands. Most governments will do anything to avoid a confrontation with Islam and the restless and angry Muslims now living in their countries. It is the world’s fear of confrontation that gives the Islamics the courage to reveal themselves.

In all likelihood, the well-laid plan has given the Islamic government more than it had hoped for. Perhaps it believed the West would be stronger than it actually was. The West, particularly Europe, has no stomach for violence and now Islam knows that well-planned riots and staged events produce the long-reaching goals that Islam needs to continue the march toward total world domination.

After all, the lives of a few pawns are much cheaper than a roadside bomb or even a large attack on America that would only infuriate the only remaining superpower. The tortoise beat the hare, or so the story goes, and Islam is more than happy to be the tortoise. It has been waiting since the death of Mohammed to rule the world. A few more decades means nothing to Islam.

I ask the leaders of the West: Are you willing to see your daughters in burkhas, and their daughters and so on sentenced to this living death? If not, stand up for yourselves.

My article, posted on ChronWatch before this one, has more information on the manufactured outrage over "the" Danish cartoons, and whether they "caused" the riots. Both statements are false. Click below for more.

Ah - no, it hasn't.

One state - Victoria - does have a religious vilification law that has been used - but that law does not make it an offence to blaspheme Islam or any other religion. The standard required for a prosecution is far higher than that. And Victoria is only one state - not the country as a whole.

The Victorian law is a bad one - and it's almost certainly unconsitutional, which is why Daniel Scott is heading for the High Court, but it's not a law against blasphemy.

So I guess I'll have to keep my opinion of all the pig-humping ragheads to myself when I visit Australia next year?

Let us all pray
By Andrew Bolt
14nov03

LET me tell you how two Christian pastors came to be on trial after discussing Islam in church, in a case that's so far cost them $100,000.

This will show how our shiny-eyed Equal Opportunity Commission can cause more religious strife than it solves. And helps kill free speech in doing it.

Diane Sisely, the EOC boss, was not happy last year. She hadn't found the many Muslim-hating racists last year she felt were out there, particularly after the September 11 attacks.

Sisely was ready for them – and armed. The Bracks Government, in an appalling attack on free speech, had passed its new racial and religious vilification laws, under which people could be jailed for speaking their minds.

But what did she find?

Peace and tolerance, according to the figures in her annual report, rather than the "dramatic levels" of hatred she'd warned of.

In fact, the EOC in the 12 months to June last year logged just five complaints of religious vilification in the entire state, covering all faiths and none.

Just five. Plus 72 complaints – including the trivial and try-on – of religious discrimination.

This wasn't good enough. And so Sisely, who said the low figures proved people were too scared to complain, took action.

Over the next year, her staff taught nearly 10,000 Victorians, particularly Muslims and Arabs, about our discrimination and vilification laws – and how to complain to her office. It seemed the EOC wanted more complaints.

And, early last year, Sisely hired May Helou.

I THOUGHT the EOC had to serve all Victorians equally. But in hiring Helou, Sisely risked giving the perception that the EOC sided with Muslims above all other religious groups.

After all, May Helou was the head of the Islamic Council of Victoria's support groups for women and for Muslim converts, and now sits on its executive.

The Islamic Council would have been delighted to see what work its official was now given by the EOC.

As an EOC bulletin says, Helou's job is to make sure "people from Arabic and Muslim communities are aware of their rights under anti-discrimination laws" and offer "support to people wishing to make a complaint".

But then she took a step that makes it look even more as if the EOC now doesn't just resolve complaints, but even incites them.

One evening, at the Islamic Council headquarters, Helou alerted several Muslim converts to a seminar on jihad to be run by a Melbourne Pentecostal church, Catch the Fire Ministries.

One of the converts, Jan Jackson, last month told a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal hearing that Helou was worried the seminar would be full of Christians "without any Muslims present".

SHE said Helou asked her to go, and even rang her at home at 8.30 on the morning of the seminar to again ask: "Can you please go?"

Another convert, Malcolm Thomas, now the Islamic Council's secretary, told VCAT that Helou asked him to attend, too. A third, Yusuf Eades, said he couldn't be sure which Islamic Council leader asked him to go.

And so Catch the Fire – unknown to its leader, Pastor Danny Nalliah, and its speaker, Pastor Daniel Scot – had among the 250 Christians at its seminar three Muslims, all sent by Helou and a colleague, and seemingly ready to feel vilified.

Bingo. The speaker, Scot, was a Pakistani who had faced a death sentence in Muslim Pakistan for being a Christian, and had lived in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He was not only familiar with Muslim countries, but had read the Koran many times.

He certainly knew it better than did Jackson, as she admitted to VCAT.

As he talked, he cited passages in the Koran and Hadith that he said radical clerics used to justify armed jihad, looting, the killing of converts from Islam, the rape of captive women, lying for the faith and more.

(Catch the Fire's website lists the Koranic sources Scot used, and examples of Islamic leaders and scholars who interpret these verses in the way he warned of.)

When Scot finished, one of the converts, Thomas, stood and asked: how should Christians respond?

"Pray," Scot replied. Muslims "should be loved".

But the converts were still furious, and said they felt vilified and scared. Jackson said she didn't like the way the audience had laughed at the Koran, either.

One confronted Scot during a break, and Jackson left a message for Helou at her work about what she'd seen.

Some time later, the converts met Helou at the EOC and decided to complain to the EOC about the pastors.

But how manufactured was this complaint? After all, if Helou and her colleague hadn't asked the converts to monitor the seminar, no Muslims would have been there to feel offended or frightened.

WORSE, the EOC, whose staff member incited this complaint, now had to act as the neutral "umpire" in conciliation talks between the converts and pastors.

Stranger still, Helou not only was a member of the EOC that was trying to conciliate this case, but was a leader of the Islamic Council that officially joined the converts in their complaint.

Let me stress that Helou herself was not involved in the conciliation, and three months ago left the EOC. I do not say she acted deceitfully, against EOC rules or with improper motives.

She may well have prompted the complaint in her role with the Islamic Council, not the EOC. But the conflicts of interest here are disturbing. It is tyrannical for a state body to be both prosecutor and judge, or, at least, conciliator. And an EOC official shouldn't organise complaints involving a group of which she is a member. That is unfair – and dangerous.

The EOC conciliation talks failed, and so Nalliah and Scot must now defend their right to free speech in a VCAT hearing that has dragged on for four expensive and draining weeks.

This heated legal battle has inflamed passions on both sides. The Islamic Council badly wants to win and says Muslims around the world are watching.

MEANWHILE, Christians even in the United States and England have claimed that the pastors are persecuted, and VCAT's hearings are filled with sternly praying folk.

What a tribute to the EOC and to the Government's foul laws against free speech, which were actually meant to spread religious tolerance, not inspire such conflict and oppression.

But let's look at the bright side. The converts have given Sisely three more complaints to add to her little list. In the discrimination industry, that seems to count as a success.
