Not for me. Guess that eliminates "everyone".

The Shi'ite has hit the fan. It's civil war. So much for peace in the next ten years.

I wonder if this will get their minds off of cartoons for a day or two.

But seriously...

Maybe the Shiites will reexamine their past support for terrorists. Mad dogs tend not to stay on their leashes.

"The site is sacred to Shia, because they believe Iman al Mehdi will appear at the mosque, bringing them salvation.

Al Mehdi is the 12th and final awaited Imam in Shia Islam."

This must throw a bit of a wrench in the President of Iran's plans . He was waiting for this guy and now the mosque is gone .
You look at the rubble and it looks like the interior is made of sand. Must be why they call it "the Sand Box" ?
So now shall we see the Shia really freaking out? How much more serious than a few cartoons is this ? But just watch , nothing.....the cartoons will have brought a stronger response in the Islamic world.

This probably isn't a good development. Oh the other hand, maybe it will get them mad enough were they will start giving more intel and turn more terrorists? wait and see I guess, in the mean time our troops need to keep on their toes.

agreed. The loss of the Bamiyan Buddhas was awful. So is the loss of this mosque.

Antiquities need to be preserved.

It would be more useful if the offending Sunnis bit the dust instead.

...Not that Muslims think too clearly on such matters. It's more like "Explode first, ask questions later."

This is pretty damn serious.

Supposedly, relatives of Mohammed where buried under the mosque as well as it being the place the shia believed the 12th Imam was going to appear.

Good. Let them have their civil war - high time. What's the point of postponing or interrupting it?
