Good morning
Definitely.
"Notice how the media isn't talking about the Saddam tapes."
The MSM is not interested in national security, They are in full Bashbashing mode. Anything they can do to dismantle the Republican Party is their main objective in this election year.
FNC showing Harry Reid saying this administration is the most secretive administration ever. How I wish that Chris Wallace would follow up with how Harry Reid let 3 days go by before informing anyone that he'd had a minor stroke.
Bashbashing=Bushbashing.
I hope ilovew has seen this interview her comments about her senetor will be great to hear this evening.
Because some listen to much to the loons that we republicans are cold hearted evil people who have no feelings
Very good observation. Media is helping the democrats in any which way they can by manipulating the news like this. Ultimately, they fail because of the new media.
Thanks to you as well for the FNS report.
I am sure the "tough and smart" comment is part of the plan to attack Republicans this year. Without saying what they would do differently, Democrats want us to believe they are, and would be, smarter in the fight against terrorism.
Good Morning Everyone
I'm a little late today and trying to wake-up.
I just heard Timmy talk about who's coming up on the round table and one of the topics they were going to discuss was the VP and reaction of the media. This ought to be rich, since David (I can throw a tantrum if I want to) Gregory is on the panel. Apparently, he has told a different version of the story
The week that was at the White House (David Gregory "blogs" his side of story)

It's been a rough and tumble week in the White House press room over the Cheney hunting story. Many viewers have written me with praise and plenty of criticism about my questioning of press secretary Scott McClellan.
Let me say at the outset that I was wrong to lose my temper at Scott McClellan. I've worked well with Scott since we first met during the 2000 campaign. Monday, he suggested my aggressive questioning about the disclosure of the hunting accident was a stunt for the cameras. He said this during a morning OFF CAMERA briefing, which undercut his point. Furthermore, I considered it a cheap shot. I said, "Don't be a jerk to me personally, just answer the question." I regret saying that because it's never appropriate to speak that way and because it created a distraction from the issues at hand.
Putting that aside, I do not apologize for asking tough questions about this story. I'm in the business of getting information -- as much of it as possible....I have not made any judgments about the facts of this story as it pertains to what happened on the Armstrong ranch....Mr. Cheney, in my view, acted as if he had something to hide.
Yet the debate playing out in the blogosphere, cable airwaves and on talk radio pits the Vice President against an allegedly left-wing, overly cynical, prissy White House press corps in a tizzy because it wasn't the first to know and angry because it hates the President and Vice President anyway. This is nonsense....Have you Googled transcripts from the Clinton administration at the height of the Lewinsky scandal?

Don't you just love to hear Alan Simpson? He does have some common sense.
Sen. Simpson: The first thought when you've shot your friend isn't to call the media. It's got the press all worked up that a small newspaper was called first.
FNC: Peggy Noonan said that Dick Cheney has become the hate magnet for the administration and ponders whether Mr. Bush will want to put in a new vice president.
Simpson: We have a word for that in the wild west, but I won't use it. (LOL) Dick Cheney has been the hate symbol from the beginning. Those who don't like him have put horns on his head. It's absurd. I travel the country all the time and American people are shaking their heads. This was an accident.
Ha! Simpson says that if this hunting accident had happened to anyone else it would have been a sparrow-belch in a typhoon.
Whenever anyone makes comments like this it always reminds me of my ex MP a few years ago when the Defence Secretary announced that a local navy dock was the close.
He got on his high horse spoke on local radio even resigned his minor position in the defense ministry but when it came to the vote walked through the yes lobby and supported the goverment.
I just love the way he's going after the press corp.
...but I guess some of it is the screening.
#####
I am sad to learn that actual screening happens at CSpan. That makes the calls they put through much worse in their messages. I lived in hope that callers just got on by dialing the number of their choice.
Heh.
Well it's gotta be tough to be a Democrat these days.
First, they're perceived to be weak on defense and no wonder. Every damn thing they've done these past few years has been anti-defense. The wall of cards is coming down upon them because silly Americans, they don't want to hear about Guantanamo mythical abuses. Americans don't want to hear that fellow Americans can talk to the enemy overseas and get away with it. Americans don't want to hear talk about withdrawing from Iraq from pompous bloviating and likely corrupt Pa. politicos.
Americans are quite tired of the constant Bush bashing as well. It's almost a standard joke across the land..."it's Bush's fault"...no matter what happens, be it a hurricane, a kitten what tore down the curtains, or crashed glasses.
If you don't think us people who carry this country on our backs understand a thing or two then...well the "you" in this case in the inside-the-beltway clique and for once, ever since 9-11, we're not going to let them rule.
The Dems represent the Moonbats. Which is fine. The Moonbats deserve representation. I'm not sure the rest of the Dem party wanted to go down that road but they had Pelosi in charge and God knows she's right from the heart of Moonbat country.
This past week they showed their colors again with the Cheney incident. I have never seen Dick Cheney say anything nasty or untoward; the man has never been anything but a fine dedicated public servant. The Middle Class Americans, who rule the world don't kid yourself, are getting wise to this Bush/Cheney hatred and it gets old.
Lately I've noted all this talk about defending the country from the Dems because go to hell, they have to know what side the bread is buttered on. The Moonbats in San Francisco are not going to get them elected.
Only the wide swath of Middle Class in this country will get a candidate elected to the highest office in the land.
They tried to convince us of their cause, they tried to convince us that Bush was dumb and evil, they tried to assure us that the judiciary knows best.
None of it is resonating because while we're busy carrying this country on our backs, we're paying attention. IF anyone thinks that soccer mom holding down a job and running a household is going to get all bent because she didn't hear about the Cheney shooting until the Sunday after while the elite do-nothing press corps didn't get the scoop they think they deserved, well get over it. That soccer mom could care less about Dick Gregory.
They keep forgetting who runs things in this country. Money pouring in from the anti-American factions turned their power-hungry heads. And yet the Middle Class ain't buying it...ain't buying none of it.
The Dems know this. They've got to take a stand. Seeing this happen should be interesting.
What are we going to expect from the Washington press corp. when something really important happens? How are we going to trust them? They've been interviewing themselves and saying "how do you feel" and then Simpson puts his finger in his mouth like the international "gag me" symbol.
All you get from the press corp is controversy, crap and confusion."
