Uhhhh, Bryant, there is a paucity of black athletes in the Olympics because they're already in pro sports, going after the money instead of the going after the sport, for the love of the sport. Oooops! I sounded just like Bryant Gumbel. Except what I said was the truth.

When I heard this last night, I said to myself, uuh, who the heck cares what Bryant Gumball has to say. The real question might be asked of Bryant. But didn't the former Nazi supreme commander used to think of black athletes as superior as well? At least in physical prowess? Sure, he believed they were subhuman, but in reality, he feared a black man's athletic abilities.

No and no. Hitler thought that his Aryan ubermenchen would kick the arse of the American team in the '36 Olympics, until Jesse Owens and his teammates proved him wrong. Hitler stormed out of the Olympic stadium in a cold fury and always believed the American victories were a fluke.

EXACTLY! Good Lord, "Real Sports" constantly talks about the issues of race in sports. I remember a segment where they were talking about sports gambling on college campuses, and Bryant's FIRST question following the segmet was, "So, is this happening on historically black colleges as well?"

HUH? The segment had zero to do with race, and THAT'S the first question you come up with? Shows where his mind's at.

I think someone must've called him a "Tom" years ago, and he's convinced he has to prove he's still "black enough" ever since.

Jeez Bryant, doncha know that's why the Winter Olympics were invented? Half the World is left out because they don't have these sports locally and all the GOP can watch TV Sports and see themselves.

Well they could move to North Dakota and learn all those winter sports skills and could then play in the NHL or compete in the Winter Olympics.

Folks, am I mistaken, or did we not send a basketball team to the summer Olympics a few years ago that was either all black or all black save one player, and it got CREAMED by predominantly white European and Hispanic Latin American teams???
