The hysterical riots by Arab and Muslim thugs around the world following the publication of cartoons portraying the prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper are only the latest symptom of a serious disease.
They reflect the cultural failure of a society that prefers to base itself on the complete failure to stand up to the challenges of modernity, and to direct its anger towards objects of its extremism and hatred to those elements of the developed, free, Western world that have created the image of modern reality and successfully acquired for themselves quality of life, social welfare and freedom.
The appearance of violence and Arab (and Muslim) radicalism enveloping the world in recent years is related to the same cultural phenomenon: the World Trade Center terrorists, the suicide bombers in Israel, the Bali, London and Madrid terrorists, the hooligans that torched tens of thousands of cars outside Paris in November and the rioters currently burning down European embassies in Damascus and Beirut.
Don't worry, money will continue
The Palestinian rabble burns down European delegations in Gaza and Nablus, assuming the Europeans will continue to feed the Palestinian people and that billions of Euros will continue to flow their way, to ensure its leaders and populace will be available to support corruption and terrorism.
In all these instances we are speaking about the ripe fruits of socialization and indoctrination that characterizes the image of a central strain in the Arab world and wide swaths of the Muslim world.
These elements are afraid to stand up to the causes the society's failure, and present the people with a poisonous cocktail of sacrifice, conspiracy theory, absolute claims and incitement to mass violence.
Each of these is bound up with a deep, distorted longing for "honor."
Few accomplishments
Because Arab and Muslim society has chalked so few accomplishments in recent centuries, and because their closed natures and widespread violence attracts scorn from the developed world, or perhaps mercy at best, they claim a special immunity from criticism.
The vast majority of them completely fail to understand the basic principles of a free society. They use violence in an attempt to deflect and deter all challenges to their culture and behavior, things considered legitimate in all democracies.
The goal of violent terror is to create ongoing intellectual terror. Thus, they threaten to kill authors who write Satanic Verses that fail to meet the ayatollah's approval, and to treat newspaper cartoonists, editors and publishers to treat Arabs and Muslims with the same lack of regard they show to one another.
And then they moan and complain about the violent, destructive image they have "rightfully earned."
The Palestinians and the Arabs in the Middle East and Europe are not aware of the possible results of the accumulated challenge they place before the way of life in Europe and the free world.
Europe waking up
Following the latest instance of Arab hooliganism, even the Europeans are starting to realize that reconciling themselves to violence and a lack of tolerance displayed even by European Arabs endangers the pluralistic basis of the European Union.
Even some leftists in Europe are now forced to deal with the cultural and political meaning of forgetting about tens of millions of Arabs and Muslims, most of whom have no desire to adopt the practices of open society.
The radical elements are making inroads, with the consent of the mainstream, to enforce their destructive, violent values and political terrorism first by murdering a Dutch television producer because whose movies "offended" them, now by threatening to murder Danish journalists, and tomorrow by way of self-censorship, more dangerous than all, by Europeans who fear getting tangled up with folks who have already proven the deadliness of their attacks.
Dutch teachers who don't dare teach the World War II history in neighborhoods that are more than a third Muslim because they are afraid of the threats emanating from 15-year-olds are just the first taste.
Many are starting to understand that European tolerance for Arab intolerance is not a prescription for pluralism and multi-culturalism, but rather a danger for every free culture.
It is too bad the Europeans must learn the hard way about the complex challenges that characterize the neighborhood Israel finds itself in.

In Europe's defense, we're just about 60 years removed from a war that scarred the western world that was largely based on cultural intolerance.
They are doomed to relive part of that past one way or the other....they're going to have to subdue the radical muslims who aren't adapting somehow (whether that involves kicking them out or forcing them to behave forcibly...neither of which will be pleasant) or they're going to be overrun by the muslims, who will then proceed to persecute everyone in sight.
They are going to have to face it, but it's totally understandable why they're reluctant to do so given the scale and causes of WWII. I don't think they fully learned the lesson that delaying responding to a problem doesn't make it go away.
The occupation and reconstruction of the House of Islam is beyond our capabilities - but it will be necessary if we keep up the fantasy of incorporating Muslims into the New World Order.
THAT is an impossibility.
What IS possible is to lock them up in thie own prison, and to keep them there.
What's up with all these articles claiming that Europe finally getting it? I know that their elected representatives have been furiously passing blasphemy laws to prevent any criticism of Islam. Either they are getting it but their political leaders are not, or they're just not getting it, and are about to get it...
The PROBLEM with that is that muslims refuse to leave everyone else alone. They continue to "riot" -- pillage, burn down, torch, murder and explode, in ever increasingly outward boundaries.
The problem is not the boundaries of the rest of us, it is the raving lunacy of most of islam.
I do believe they merit being contained (islam, muslims do). I do believe that other nations should immediately limit if not completely prevent muslims from crossing international borders, at least for period of containment of the current mayhem that muslims are engaging in (France, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Norway, Denmark, England, Australia, the U.S. as to 09/11 and I'm convinced there'd been far more of similar events had not the Bush Administration acted as they have as to terrorism in the U.S. after 09/11) (I'm sure I've left some nations off the list here, apologies).
We can always allow more immigration later after APPLICANTS have been given a closer review, or review at all. I'd favor preventing anyone from certain countries from immigrating altogether, and particularly support preventing all muslims from doing so. I'd add "until such time as they calm down" but I don't think that they are ever going to. I do believe they are a culture of irrational human beings and I don't believe they are going to change, in that they intend harms if not outright destruction upon everyone else.
This out to show them, huh?

Honor Killing Goes Unpunished in Cleveland
Tweny-one-year-old Methal Dayem, who was fatally shot on January 8, 1999, refused to give up an independent lifestyle for the submissive version of womanhood that her male cousins attempted to force upon her in the name of Islam, prosecutors and female family members say... Prosecutors presented evidence that Yezen Dayem's car was seen near the scene, and that cellular phone records showed him placing a call one mile from the scene of the shooting around the time of the murder. A second cousin accused in the shooting, Musa Salleh, had his case dismissed for lack of evidence. Methal Dayem's mother, sister and aunt were extremely angered by the decision, and are still seeking justice in this so-called honor killing.
It happens here too.
Even some leftists in Europe are now forced to deal with the cultural and political meaning of forgetting about tens of millions of Arabs and Muslims, most of whom have no desire to adopt the practices of open society.
I'll believe when I see it. Leftists are too busy encouraging 1) immigration, 2) abortion for native Europeans.
It boggles my mind that I have talked to leftists who have actually said they would rather see these people marching down their own streets rather than the US take military defensive action.
I try to explain Sharia to them and they just waive it away. Feminists too. It is an absurd phenomenon.
I don't think the US will accept that part-in England and France at least-as that would give them immediate access to deliverable nukes.
You understand what I'm saying, though? Europe got burned last century by letting one group persecute a specific religious group. So, they're hesitant to do anything that could be percieved as persecuting Muslims. But, if they don't restrain the radical Muslim population, those Muslims will brutalize all of the non-Muslims in (frankly) a way remniscent of Hitler.
So, no matter what, someone WILL BE suppressed on the basis of religion. Either make the Muslims obey the law of the land or the Muslims will start killing Jews, Christians and then start picking off the other non-muslim groups (at least, that's what they've done in every country they have full control over). This is probably Europe's worst nightmare.
I hate it, but I see a way around this long-term.
I'm talking about extreme Muslims, not moderate Muslims who go about their business and leave everybody else alone.
Lob the 12 k first. No up side in waiting.
Oh, I agree with you that the stuff is going to really hit the fan in the days to come. There will be a huge confrontation. Hopefully, Europe is finally getting off the same high horse it was on when looking at the US after 9/11 and what we decided to do.
The problem is their agenda and goals will not allow that.
Very good article.
