1. ALBERT OF ARABIA (GORE)
Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. continues to prove that the nation dodged a fatal bullet when he lost the 2000 presidential election. In the latest demonstration that he was -- and is -- totally unfit to lead the nation in wartime, the former Vice President traveled to Saudi Arabia to apologize for what he considers to be the beastly U.S. response to the 9/11 attacks.
At the 2006 Jeddah Economic Forum in mid-February, Gore expressed remorse for what he characterized as America's inexcusable conduct in enforcing its own immigration laws just after foreign nationals -- mostly Saudi Arabians -- had perpetrated a massive murderous terrorist attack on American soil.
The failed presidential candidate told the Jeddah audience -- composed mainly of Saudis -- that Arab nationals in the United States immediately after 9/11 had been "indiscriminately rounded up, often on minor charges of overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in conditions that were just unforgivable." Condemning the U.S. government rather than al-Qaeda, Gore claimed that "there have been terrible abuses and it's wrong."
Gore's allegation ignored the fact that the post-9/11 reaction by ordinary Americans actually was remarkably restrained, especially in view of the shock, horror, and anger over the mass murders..............

The Dems' biggest problem is that their MoveOn (George Soros, Barbara Streisand, et al) masters will dictate that a far lefty gets the nod. In their zeal to appease their vocal lefty base, the Dem candidates will be spouting anti-Bush/anti-conservative/anti-American hatred that will turn off the majority of voters.
