You and I are not having an abortion debate, so there is no reason for you to justify Rice for me. If she is nominated, I will vote for her. But she will still lose. She has not "waffled" on the abortion issue. Like Hillary Clinton, she claims to find abortion distasteful, but she is solidly pro choice. She has referred to the pro-life movement as "the other side." I'm sure the idea of a black woman conservative candidate is every FReeper's fantasy, but it should NOT be Rice. Al Gore camethisclose to winning in 2000, and there are plenty of Republicans who will vote Right To Life party before they vote for a pro-choice candidate. If you want to see Hillary Clinton in the White House, the best thing we can do is to nominate Condoleezza Rice.

Well, unless it's Guiliani or McCain, it looks like Hillary's got it made. I'm not sure why those guys are any better from the conservative perspective than Rice.

Pres-I get the "what" but not the "why." Seriously, I am missing why you think this. Maybe I haven't read enough of the thread yet.
