The police and politicians are criticised more generally for not confronting Islamic extremism, with 80% of respondents saying the authorities show too much tolerance of Muslims who urge extreme acts. Two-thirds, 67%, think this is because senior policemen such as Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan police commissioner, are too politically correct. Of all the evil perpetrated against the world by liberals, political correctness is one of the most insidious and dangerous. The hold it has on the world is nothing less than staggering, and this recent hullabaloo is a perfect example of its inevitable fruits. Leaders in the USA, the UK, and every other Western society on the planet have engaged in a wholesale abandonment of common sense, in favor of the idiotic notion that all cultures and all moral systems are created equal.
If the trend isn't quickly reversed, political correctness will eventually lead to a huge sacrifice of innocent life. We cannot defeat enemies that we dare not even identify honestly.

Your last statement was HUGE. I have ALWAYS thought this was the case. How can you "identify the enemy" when you're still stuck in the mode of searching old ladies (myself included!) and children at airport security?? The loss of "common sense" comment was also right on the money!
(Of course, we can all thank the GREAT Hillary Clinton for even the term "political correctness"--to say nothing of the concept!) I am SO glad she did poorly in the presidential polls. Kinda renews my faith in human nature.

Your point about Ian Blair is well taken. they are more concerned about the make up of the police force (no pun intended) than the function of the force.
A typical example of taking your eye off the ball.
kind regards,
