DNC: Americans Lose Faith in President Bush

WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released today by the Democratic National Committee:

This week, the White House's lack of credibility and failure to be truthful was on display once again. The Bush Administration continues to stonewall, withhold information and refuses to offer answers on a host of issues. From stonewalling on his secret spying program, to refusing to investigate the misuse of intelligence on Iraq and his Administration's disastrous mishandling of the response to Hurricane Katrina and his vague answers about his relationship with indicted Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff, President Bush's credibility is in tatters. As a result, the American people have lost faith in President Bush's ability to effectively lead the country and keep our country safe.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement on President Bush's inability to tell the truth to the American people:

"The President's inability to tell the truth to the American people is bad for America and has weakened our country. We need a President who is tough on our enemies and honest with the American people. Having lost all credibility with the American people, the Bush Administration simply cannot effectively lead the nation. This continuous pattern of cover-ups, deceit and stonewalling is reminiscent of the dark days of Richard Nixon, leading every American to question what the Bush Administration is hiding. Democrats remain committed to open and honest leadership and will continue to press for answers."

Sounds a lot like what was being said in October of 2004. Look how well that turned out for Democrats!

So like, what? Should he resign? I mean, tell us, give us a plan (No matter how much I may laugh at it). Don't just sit there and criticize you back seat driver! Sound and fury and amounting to nothing...yearrggghhh!

Yeah, like there's anyone like that in the Democratic Party. All the DNC gave us was Gore and Kerry. What a joke the dems are.

Which is why support for NSA surveillance of terrorists is way up, and why support for action against Iran is way up and why interest in HRC is way down.

LOL! It's like reading Pravda 35 years ago

I wonder if "the American people" are sick of being told what they believe. Is it possible that "the American people" can make a decisions about how they feel about something without "the un-American left" telling us?

If I were Republicans, I'd take heed. After all, nobody knows more about "losing faith" than Howard Dean. Under his tutelage, the Democrats have moved beyond irrelevant to embarrassing.

This is a conversation I had last week with someone that sums up how many I know feel. "Yeah, I do not think GW gives a care about anyone who makes less then 6 figures, but the democrats have not shown me one reason I should support them. And Bush bad is not enough. I have yet to hear one thing on how they intend to solve problems. The devil I know is better then the devil I don't." The democrats have opportunities, but as long as they keep running far lefties and retread ideas they will lose.
