Prison rapes even of children under the age of 10-years was common practice just after the revolution when the Palestinians were manning all the firing squads. Iranians initially refused to execute their own.
An Algerian journalist, who had been invited to participate in these rapes inside a prison by one of his Palestinian friends gave me a first hand, mind boggling and sickening description. All in the name of Islam and not executing virgins.
The Palestinians insisted on this "perk" for shooting those condemned to death, which included multitudes of young women and children. A huge number of the little ones died under the sexual abuse/torture and a couple of bullets were shot into their dead bodies the next morning and their relatives charged for the cost of the ammunition thus used.
Later, women prisoners were regularly raped as part of their incarceration by clerics and the prison guards and if they had the bad luck to get pregnant, they were shot before it showed - this time by the Iranians the Palestinians had threatened with death if they did not conduct the executions.
How anyone can pardon such atrocity by Arafart's men and the clerics after that is just as mind boggling to me.
And anyone who defends Islam purely on principle needs a another think. Probably because they never had to face Palestinians nor the clerics, nor lost their closest friends to the firing squads, nor loved ones, specially little girls and family women to gang rape and undeserved death.
This is, has been and continues to be so prevalent that to try to slide this off as an exception to an otherwise peaceful religion called Islam flies in the face of facts and requires total denial of all reality and experience by hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions might be more accurate. Similar to Ahmaghi-Nejad sloughing off the Holocaust as never happening, so do defenders of the actions of Moslems parallel his denial of the holocaust.
There are wonderfully gentle and peaceful Moslems everywhere, I have known them myself, but THEY are the exception. We should stop looking at the wrong end of the animal when describing it, pretending the tail is the head.
My heart still bleeds for the many, many stalwart officers and men, almost all close friends of mine, who served the Shah and whose bullet ridden pictures I saw on a daily basis in the major newspapers. Some I had talked to the night before as they tried to evade capture by the animals who rule Iran today and have for over a quarter century. And who promptly shot them without any trial. Not even a farcical one.
By comparison the Mullahs make the ruthless, mindless killers and drug smuggles we know as the MS-13 gangs look like innocent children.
I truly doubt it, but keeping hoping. What is that saying.. one who keeps doing the same thing hoping for a different ending?

news.gooya.com is reporting that this young woman is dead. They are saying maybe suicide. (that's convenient.)
No wonder Allah is running out of virgins. That cartoonist was right after all!
Sad but probably / certainly true - specially these days with the regime facing up to the crisis they have created. Partly on purpose partly by miscalculation about the extent of Europe's desire to "go along to get along". And Russian and Chinese support.
Latest from Europe, AdmSmith would know more, indicates France is leading the cavalry charge against Iran with Germany alongside and Britain still dragging its heels a bit.
Meanwhile the USA appears to be going through "process protocol" to take harsh action, too.
