Wow. First his Attorney General (Peg "The Keg" Lautenschlager) and now his son. Our governor surrounds himself with "winners!"
(He was arrested on the road I live on. However, I was not the one that called it in.)

Diana once again you bring us the trash that is our Rat governor and the rest of his minions.
Thanks for the update on One Term Jim, he is a slime ball and I see the nut did not fall to far from the tree.

Life in the fishbowl. This man should be aware that with his famous father any mistake will make the news. Glad I didn't have to live under that scrutiny when I was a young man. I'm sure I would have caused a lot of headaches for my dad.

Ah, how precious. You know damn well that if were an adult son of a state Pubbie, that would have made this morning's papers.
Heck, it still isn't mentioned anywhere on the Journtinel's website.

Update from WKOW (the source) -
Online state court records show Doyle's driver's license was suspended July 18, 2005. Spokesman for Governor Doyle, Dan Leistikow, told 27 News, Doyle was using Wisconsin First Lady Jessica Doyle's privately owned car at the time of incident. Fitchburg police officials had refused to release the name of the car's registered owner, citing state confidentiality rules.
I can just see the fall campaign now...Vote for Craps and Keg, the drinking and driving Wisconsinite's leader.

Update from Wispolitics.com--typical boilerplate explanation, just fill in the blanks:
Gov. Doyle: Statements of Gov. Jim Doyle and Gus Doyle Re: Gus' Drunken Driving Arrest
2/6/2006
Contact: Anne Lupardus, Office of the Governor, 608-261-2162
Over the weekend, my son Gus made a very bad mistake. He is an adult and is fully accountable for his actions. He feels terrible about what he did, and he knows he will have to pay the consequences.
Jessica and I do not condone drinking and driving, nor will we ever. Our sons actions were unacceptable, and he is taking responsibility for them.
Jessica and I are disappointed, but we love our son very much. We will deal with this matter as a family."
Statement of Gus Doyle
Early Sunday morning, I made a terrible mistake and one for which I take full responsibility. I am deeply sorry for what happened, and I am going to own up to the consequences. Drinking and driving is unacceptable and dangerous, and I apologize to those I put at risk and for being irresponsible.

Augustus Doyle has a history of driving unregistered cars around and other misdemeanors. Check out Wisconsin Circuit Court Access and you will see a lot of disregard by this now contrite Son of Bozo for the rules and regulations.

Doyle refused to submit to a test for blood alcohol when it was requested by responding officers. Wonder if the State Patrol supervisors their union...the Sheriff's Assoc. and Police Chiefs Assoc. will defend him as they did Peg 'the keg' Lautenschlager...
