The increasingly bitter row over the publication of a series of controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad reached a new intensity last night as protesters set fire to the Danish and Norwegian embassies in Syria.
With police signalling that they will launch an investigation into the behaviour of protesters in London who called for those insulting Islam to 'be beheaded', protesters in the Syrian capital, Damascus, defied tear gas and water cannon to enter the Danish embassy and replace that country's flag with another which read: 'No God but Allah, Mohammad is His Prophet.'
Last night the Danish embassy, which was empty when attacked, was a charred hulk. The Norwegian embassy was still burning. As well as the dramatic scenes in Damascus - not known for its Islamic militancy - rising tensions among Muslims over the publication of 'blasphemous' cartoons in Denmark threatened to boil over across the globe.

Thank GOD, the one and only true one, that the Danish embassy was empty. Does anyone know if they had warning about it and evacuated before it happened? I hope no lives are lost in this. Funny how it always seems to happen in the ME where they know they can get away with it.

I didn't like the Crucifix in a jar of urine, but we who were offended expressed our outrage without burning down embassies or threatening to cut off heads. Still, it was a really stupid thing for the cartoonists to do. They should have anticipated the reaction of Muslims.

The irony in this is these people are causing destruction in protest of their beloved prophet Mohammed being caricatured with a destructive device on his person.

What are they protesting for? Heck they should be honored for the accurate reflection. It sure draws a sharp contrast between them and Christians and ought to make those on the fence think twice.
The only hope I see is that they are maniacs nd will push too hard too fast and someone will address the problem of Islam's existence. Hopefully, it will be starkly and massively violent. Hopefully, it will be permanently destructive, devastating and humiliating to Islam and all of its practitioners.
Hopefully the aftermath will bring endless suffering, despair, and tears and screams for generations to all those who chose to follow the murderous pedophile prophet.
The world has abided this vile blight for too long. It's time to end it, now.

Muslims have been protected and pampered for too long by liberal Western democracies. The only way to deal with this growing menace is to take it head on.
Freedom of speech in civilized nations is not subject to the diktats of a barbaric horde that is still living in the dark ages.
I did my part and picked up some Danish cheese at the grocery today. One way to defeat these animals to to buy Danish and support the Danish economy (which depends so much on dairy exports to the middle east).

Of course, had they not published the cartoons, muslims would be rioting and pillaging and setting fire to who-knows-what and cutting off heads and murdering someone anyway. So I say, what difference does it make?
