Exactly right....but one with a superiority complex. What this particular episode shows me is exactly why I back Bush 100% on the war on terror. (Just wish he'd do SOMETHING for our borders) This reaction over a few cartoons that hurt nobody...after being read you still have your head, limbs and life... but total apathy over their so called extremists killing thousands and beheading innocent people, INCLUDING OTHER MUSLIMS.

I read recently (sorry, don't recall where,) that a large part of the Muslim motivation is a perceived lack of respect from others. Sounds a bit like our own thug culture (You diss'in me?)

I just hope the Muslims and the thugs learn soon that respect is earned; not simply demanded. The overreaction to the cartoons is counter productive in that sense in that it results in reduced respect.

Thanks, on a serious note, it's one thing for people to behave like animals, in my opinion it take remarkable people to stop that behavior. The framers of the Constitution are examples of these people, as well as practically all of the people that helped developed Western Civilization - particularly the concept of a Justice system where generally impartial people (judges and juries) get to hear and decide grievances, rather than the aggrieved simply chopping the heads off of people they have a problem with.

I don't expect everyone to live up to our standards on their own - if that were true the rest of the world would look a lot more like Australia than like your typical third world country.

But I do expect us Westerners to at least make an attempt to show them the way. Instead you have a political party made up of very well educated people that spends all of their time explaining that it's our fault for trying to uphold our 2000 year old standards, not the fault of the savages trying to destroy us (with full support of the MSM, of course). This unwillingness to stand up for our values puts the Dems on a lower plane than even the Muzzies, as I see it (like a 5 year old kid acting like a brat, and the parent either ignoring the behavior and condoning it - who do you respect less?).

But on top of all that, the Dems know better, which makes it even worse, for if one of them has a 12 year old daughter that is kidnapped by a Muzzie group (say, in this country), only to have her returned after being circumcised (i.e., female genital mutilation), they would be screaming at the top of their lungs for revenge and justice. But when Muzzies do it to their own daughters, its called "multi-culturalism", and must be understood.

That is why I have less respect for Dems than I do for Muzzies.

BTW, just got back from DU (I go there when I've read all the threads here and my stomach is feeling strong), and they really are crazy.

They're delusional as hell, talking about dictatorships and coups, and God knows what else. I'm actually starting to worry about them becoming violent, or attempting violence against our political leadership. I sure hope the Secret Service is keeping an eye on those guys.

Your picture of the Islamic protestors ay Ground Zero in NY is shocking. Try to imagine Japanese living in Hawaii protesting like that at Pearl Harbor during WWII.
