Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Tom, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities. You did a good job. Well, except for the very end. Under the ending note. Just couldn't control those "voices," could you?

I'm all excited! My home computer is now connected to the Internet. My workload is almost caught up and I should be back on my morning schedule starting next week. Before you know it I'll be back to posting threads. Whew, seems like a long time.
Here's a little piece of nostalgia for folks. Some of you may have seen these years ago. I was quite surprised one could still find them. Anyway, the thing I am referring to is the hose that goes on the tub faucet that has a shower head on the end. Looks like this

Anyhoo, Mr. Beachy went in search for one because the shower in our bathroom did not work well. The water continued to run out of the faucet and not out of the shower head. So until we can get it fixed, we'll make use of this handy item
Here's another installment of Fun and Interesting Facts

The San Andreas Fault was named in 1895 by geologist A.C. Lawson. He named it after the San Andreas Lake, a sag pond through which the fault passes about 20 miles south of San Francisco. He likely did not realize at the time that the fault ran almost the entire length of California!
To all newbies and lurkers

Lunchtime is over and I must get back to work.
But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is

So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM

Howdy, Tom
Thanks again for taking over for me while I get settled. It's been a load off my mind.
tom?
"North or South of the equator" is only one of the many parameters that determine rotation of water going down a drain. This phenomenon is extremly difficult to reproduce although scientists have been able to prove it under very extreme circumstances.
