This article certainly isn't perfect, but the author raises some interesting issues that, IMO, are worth considering. And I think the author is correct...war with Iran is unavoidable (Ahmadinejad and the mullahs have seen to that).

While doing some recent research on Iran's military, I came across this interesting article.

http://www.asharqalawsat.com/english/news.asp?section=3&id=3528

There seems to be a big chink in Iran's armor....they import about 60% of their refined gasoline products. They have enough reserves to last about 45 days!

If the Iranians refuse to give up their plans for nukes, the US should blockade their harbors, prevent any and all plans and transportation from leaving or coming to the country.

Then we should do a limited bombardment of bridges, roads power grids, and government leaders, just like we did in Serbia/Bosnia in 1998. If a civil war breaks out in Iran, so be it.

Chaos in Iran today would be a better alternative ... because if Iran goes Nuclear, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and every other country in that region will demand to go nuclear simply to protect themselves from the crazy mullahs (and they would have a valid point).

So Iran stops oil sales. The Saudi's reportedly have a contract with the US to provide an extra 2 million barrels of oil a day on the world market should supplies be cut off.

Better the world suffer an economic hit now than an all out nuclear war within 10 years, which is exactly what will occur if Iran is allowed to go nuclear.
Israel will never, ever stand by idly while the Ayatollah gives marching orders to nuke Jerusleum.

"Those who say war is unthinkable are right. Military strikes, even limited, targeted and accurate ones, will have devastating consequences for the region and for the world. They will, quite probably entrench and harden the Iranian regime. Even the young, hopeful democrats who despise their theocratic rulers and crave the freedoms of the West will pause at the sight of their country burnt and humiliated by the infidels."

I DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT. SLOBODAN MILOSOVIC WAS NOT EMBOLDENED BY THE NATO AIR STRIKES ON SERBIA, IN FACT SHORTLY AFTER THE STRIKES HE WAS TOPPLED FROM POWER BY YOUNG FREEDOM SEEKING IDEALSTS. I REMEMBER WATCHING BROADCASTS ON FOX SHOWING YOUNG SERBIANS STORMING GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS IN BELGRADE DEMANDING MILOSOVIC AND HIS HENCHMEN'S OUSTER. MAYBE I'M WRONG, BUT I THINK THE YOUTH OF IRAN MAY BE ROOTING FOR US QUIETLY.

The War already started when they took our hostages back in the 1970's. Time for it to come to a conclusion, and their is only one acceptable conclusion.
