Starving Terri Schiavo was not a private thing.

SCOTUS just agreed to hear a death penalty case in which the perp first claimed that he was retarded, failed and now claims that lethal injection would be painful and that's cruel and unusual.

I am fighting back an urge to tell them to starve and dehydrate him to death, if it's so "peaceful"

Durbin is worried about privacy, but seems unconcerned that the governor of his own state, Illinois, requires pharmacies to distribute morning after pills.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich last year ordered pharmacies that stock and sell contraceptives to fill all FDA-approved forms of it -- including the morning-after pill. The mandate also required that the drugs be dispensed in a timely way.

"If a pharmacy wants to be in the business of dispensing contraception, then it must fill prescriptions without making moral judgments," said Abby Ottenhoff, a spokeswoman for the governor.

Last summer, two Walgreen Co. pharmacies were cited for violating the governor's mandate. As a result, the company in September instituted a strict policy for filling the orders. Three of the company's more than 1,000 Illinois-based pharmacists refused to sign off on the policy on religious or moral grounds, said Michael Polzin, a Walgreen spokesman.
