My apologies to all that I confused with this statement. We did not diverge from Bonobos at a different time than from Troglodytes. They diverged after we diverged from them.
I have not been able to find the cite for the information I was basing my claim of closer relation to Bonobos than to trogs on, but if my memory is correct, there is an indicator that humans and Bonobos have a higher percent of the genome in common than humans and trogs but less than that of bonobos and trogs. There is also some indication that in certain areas of the genome we are closer to gorillas. Of course this just means that since the two separations we have had different segments of our DNA diverge.
I will try to find the cites for both. Until that time, please ignore that portion of my original post.
