For me the best thing that came out of the N.O. mess was freedom. Freedom from white guilt. The minorities have circled their wagons around a group of leaders that only subscribe to the victim mentality and play the race card and guilt card with every hand. You show the world, daily, which side of the producers/users equation you want to be.

To the majority of the minorities that have fallen into this plantation trap I say it could not happen to a more deserving people. All these folks that try to attribute the bad stuff to "God is mad and venting His anger" need to do some studying. God need do no bad because Satan is very capable. I have no problem with black business owners from around the country or locally investing heavily in New Orleans redesign and rebuilding. There's nothing wrong with a city having predominant cutural/historical flavor that represents the majority of the population. Nagin mispoke, but the idea of challenging business owners and citizens of his own ethnic group to make a special effort to focus on rebuilding here is a good one.
