For the life of me, all I can think of is the sketch on "Chappelle's Show" where the blind black guy joined the KKK because he didn't know he was black.
This reminds me of when I took a job with Chicago's Electric Utility Commonwealth Edison. Because I had lived in South Africa for awhile, and I spoke fluent Afrikaans, I put "Afrikaans" on my resume. Well, the "Commonwealth Edison African-American Management Association" must have assumed that I met their "target demographics", so I was automatically enrolled. I got all kinds of brochures, invitations to fancy dinners and meetings, and all kinds of perks and incentives. I finally had to let them know that I am in fact white. They dropped me like a hot potato.

Sorry, I can't quite buy that Klan members could get past the background check necesary to get the security clearance for that kind of job. These guys may possibly have been working at NORAD (security, maintenance?) but I don't think that they could have 'controlled the triggers' for the nukes.
Anybody with direct NORAD experience care to weigh in on this?

The Klan no doubt was the easiest and most politically correct to go after...dumb a$$ crackers.
So its true that, in terms of race, the Klan has less restirctive membership requirements than the congressional black caucus
