These documents -- oh, they're from the New York Times. Ahem. November 27th of 2005. Why, that was just a month and a half ago! November 27th, 2005, a story by David D. Kirkpatrick. Headline: "From Alito's Past, a Window on Conservatives at Princeton -- In the fall of 1985, Concerned Alumni of Princeton was entering a crisis." That's the CAP group.
By the way, do you know the source for this, for the New York Times? Senator Kennedy's website. Senator Kennedy got this whole thing started on his website.
The records that Senator Kennedy demands be subpoenaed have been seen by the New York Times, and they wrote what I just read to you November 27th of last year. "Those records and others at Mudd Library at Princeton give no indication that Judge Alito, who sits on the," blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, "wasn't among the group's major donors, and he wasn't an active leader of the group, and two of his classmates were involved and Mr. Rusher said they didn't remember his playing any sort of role whatsoever." So this is all typical Democrat thuggery.

Now that they have been found out it is going to be harder and harder for them to operate in darkness.
There goes Rush one more time.
Why do we have to muddy up the water with facts?
Only if the media holds them accountable. And we won't hold our breath for THAT.
Yup! Those darn facts! :)
If the rats can subpoena the CAP documents, can't we subpoena Moveon.org's documents? Or how about DU's. We have a right to see what the groups opposing Alito have to hide don't we?
Would you please STOP.
Next thing you`ll want is fairness.
AND THAT`S NOT FAIR
MoveOns internals I love to see but DU is too nutty.
To drag out the proceedings to give dims more time to try to find something damaging (although they've obviously had too much time already).
Oh, and by the way, to get more media face time (although it'll hopefully be negative on them).
this is a great post for those of us carefully following the hearing.. I really appreciate it! thanks
Rush's background information, especially on James Flug, is like icing on the cake.
There is the case of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes. Drudge gets lots of attention, as does Fox. It is not as bleak as it seems.
I've got to add: I'm a little disappointed in finding out how Brit Hume chose to sugar-coat his description of James Flug yesterday.
The Author of the articles and publisher have already stated all Kennedy had to do was ASK FOR THE ARTICLES...
They are already available upon request and the owner has stated, publicly, that congress can either review them at the library or the paperwork can be delivered to congressional offices if necessary..
There was NEVER any need for subpeonas, or even talk about such a need..
Kennedy just wished to make a big deal implying there was some sort of racism or bigotry in Alito's past..
Proof was not really necessary, just the allegation, proclaimed in a public venue..
Kennedy has implied Alito is a racist and bigot..
Now the Leftist Activists, and Left-Wing Media will run with it as Gospel Truth..
Here's a thought, since the confirmation of a new SCOTUS will affect the lives of all Americans maybe instead of being confirmed by the politicians with the farce called a Hearing the new Justice should be chosen by a voting process. Than there wouldn't be the circus this all has become.
BTW - Let's not foget the vetters of this nomination. This guy is as clean as a nuns sheets.
Thank you for the ping!
(finally catching up on my reading... hehe)
Damn....I got banned from DU and I never even posted there. Lurked around but never posted and article or response to anybody....maybe using my FR screen name was not a good idea.
Believe it or not, DUers come here using DU handles and obvious names that give them away. So using a Freeper name wasn't a good idea. LOL
