Spit, blood fly during Hub arrest
The Boston Herald ^ | 01/10/2006 | Thomas Caywood

Posted on 01/10/2006 3:16:32 PM PST by Panerai

In the latest incident of brazen junkies invading the area around Boston Common, a hostile woman claiming to be HIV-positive spat at and flung blood toward transit cops who busted her and a male companion for smoking crack in a Tremont Street doorway, police said. Shocked citizens who said they saw the pair huddled over a glass crack pipe yesterday morning grabbed a passing MBTA cop. The woman, who cut her palms trying to smash a glass item, raged as responding MBTA cops took her into custody, police said. “She got belligerent, yelling at us and saying she was HIV-positive,” said Lt. Sal Venturelli, who was on his way to Suffolk Law School to teach a police class. “Her hand was bloody, and she threatened the officers with blood. She was flinging blood and spitting at us.” Lauren Vallee, 26, no known address, was arrested on numerous warrants and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer and possession of a hypodermic syringe. None of the officers was hit by the blood or spit, Venturelli said, but they’ll be tested for HIV as a precaution.

Well maybe if people would just leave Kerry staffers alone while they're on a smoke break, this sort of thing wouldn't happen.

Oh, it probably felt right at the time.

They should have just shot her then brought in a hazmat team.

Ok, that is harsh. How about tazing her, boxing her, then shipping her to Iran?

You know... sometimes I get a little nostalgic for Beantown. I lived their ten years before my husband and I moved back to Florida.

It has great restaurants, a few good night clubs and lots of over-educated comic book/art school geeks (my kind of folks...) But it's heartwarming little stories like this that make me remember why I ran screaming from the place in the first place.

It still has all of that. Of course, it also has the additional thrill of most of the people working for the city not speaking English.

Was thinking that myself. If a person is threatening police with potentially lethal force, that seems like a shooting situation.

Well, yes, this IS a liberal paradise.

Made possible because parents subsidize their kids going to school there for 4-5 years at the cost of $100-120,000.

Reminds me of the time I was shopping at the Filene's out in Natick (Beautiful downtown Shoppers' World!) when I asked a saleswoman for help, she said, in perfect English I might add, "I don't speak English!" and walked off.

Okay then, I said...

This person is guilty of committing bioterrorism against law enforcement officers. All applicable laws to that end should be applied to her prosecution.

Amazing how some English phrases sound EXACTLY like the equivalent phrases in other languages, i'n't it?

This is the same place where yours truly was attacked by two homeless maggots several years ago. They tried to get money off me and were pissed that I refused.

Moments later one punched me in the face and the other jumped on my back. My only recourse was to run into traffic on Tremont street with this maggot on my back. He apparently feared for his life and let go.

I lost a pair of Armani glasses, but that was it.

The best part was that the guy was wearing a fluorescent pink hat and had a huge pot leaf tattooed on his arm. After a short ride with the cops, I was able to identify him even without my glasses.

This puke had been paroled less than a week. right then I began plotting my escape from Massachusetts. Atlanta may not be great, but I can carry a gun.

Was this the section of Tremont up near the Public Garden and China Town? What a wretched area. I've never felt safe in that section.

Last time my husband and I were there, we saw a trio of junkies fighting each other outside that soup kitchen/plasma center.

I liked parts of Atlanta when I visited--especially the Coke Museum and Little Five Points. We almost moved to Savanna until we figured out that state taxes would be the same or worse than Mass.

"...when I asked a saleswoman for help, she said, in perfect English I might add, "I don't speak English!" and walked off..."

i had the same thing happen about a year ago when i was at a store with my girlfriend... pretty much the same thing, she went up and asked a saleswoman a question, got the same same snot-assed "Don't speak English..." even before she had finished asking her question... (unfortunately, it had been a bad day already) And after exercising unbelievable restraint, I just looked back at her with the nicest smile i could show, and said "Wow! Well then being that this will be the furthest point you'll get in your life, I have to congratulate you for climbing to this pinnacle of your career at such a young age..."

Then, after clearly hearing her nasty insults and name-calling to me as I was leaving, I looked at my girlfriend and said "See, I knew she new English..." We still laugh about it...

Just another day in the Workers' Paradise of Tom Menino and John Kerry...

Boston is closing-in on San Francisco as the nation's capital of deseased, hateful welfare and drug bums. Way to go, Democrats!
