You apparently have never driven in Louisiana. Marsh gas bubbles up from deep below the earth, causing sinkholes in the roads. Brand-spanking-new roads can be suddenly destroyed by a particularly big pocket of gas. There's also the occasional flood.

But I'll take your word for it. : )

You may have sink holes caused by gas that could swallow a car, but in Pennsylvania we have pot holes that could swallow a tractor trailer.
