The German leader, who is to visit Washington, says the Guantanamo Bay camp should close.

From Reuters

BERLIN — In an interview published Saturday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Washington should close its Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, prison camp and find other ways of dealing with terrorism suspects.

"An institution like Guantanamo can and should not exist in the longer term," Merkel told the weekly magazine Der Spiegel, days before her first visit to the United States. "Different ways and means must be found for dealing with these prisoners."

Terrific! So that means she'll take the scumbags with her when she leaves 'The Land of the FREE and the Home of the BRAVE?' Wa-Hoo! Take her up on that offer right away! I'm sure they'll be treated like Princes in a German prison. ;)

How soon before Germany has their '9/11?' Maybe they should look to Spain or England or France and say a few prayers. And while she's here she needs to tour Ground Zero, too!

"Different ways and means must be found for dealing with these prisoners."

Memo to German Chancellor Angela Merkel:

Frau Merkel, mam, you can bet your sweet ass that there are "different ways and means" that are being employed as we speak "for dealing with these prisoners."

These "ways and means" are no doubt a result of continuous carping and whining by your country,...islam, our enemy, the cowards of France, and is strenghtened by the enemy within our own country (McCain's law).

The "ways and means" must, of course, ultimately break down to its simplest form: no prisoners will be held. They will be dealt with where they stand (my preference) or they will be simply be let go to do more damage to the American soldiers.

Why in the world would the U.S. pay to coddle prisoners, Mam? Why would we spend billions to house these vermin if we can only ask them pretty please?....

'Cuse me mam, but I sincerely hope that you have a bigger set of balls than Schroeder had.

Maybe she thinks we should treat them like the German army treated their prisoners during WW II. Like, you know, taking them out and machine-gunning them to death, or maybe like they treated the "heathens" at Aushzwitch. Whatever, if you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks!! The idea that Germany knows better than we do as to how to treat those animals we call terrorists, is totally preposterous! I remember the Munich games where the German gov't. sure handled them in a great way (note sarcasm) as the Germans let those killers escape!! Now, what was she saying Again?? And, who cares what she thinks?

I don't know if you realize it, but you're actually making a very very (subtle) good point. And, one that which the Deutchland government bears responsibility for.

That is, the attack at the Munich games was a defining turning point in history when the Islamofascists realized that "terrorism" works. Specifically, with a just few people and some small arm guns (or dare I say some box cutter knives?) they realized that they could do a lot of harm a with a TV camera pointed at them.

IS this the same person who let a terrorist killer of one of our fine Navy men go in trade for an Islamic German FAKE kidnapping?

Yes I do believe it is. Move you a$$ on down the road B!tch Merkel.

Germany recently found a way to handle these prisoners. They put them on trial and let them go.

When they caught some terrorists in the Munich Olympics [see Spielberg's Munich and believe half]they released them when threatened.

Germany has a lot to teach us about terrorism.

Well, I suspect you wouldn't have to.

However, Dr. Rice will have to consider what she says - that's her job. In short, there appears to be a bit of placating going on here. I think Merkel, is attempting to assure "the left" that she's going to talk to G.W. (very soon) and bring to light their concerns.

Merkel is politically weak, she doesn't carry the weight of a Helmut Kohl.

Note: I'm just being objective here.

I do tend to use the exclamation point, but only to underscore my intentions. I kinda like it for the for emphasis of "point-making". :0 )
