The Wit and Wisdom of Ted Kennedy
By Clarice Feldman
January 8,2006
Last week he stated that Mao wrote the Communist Manifesto and professed his belief in a patent hoax. This week he states that Goldwater was President.
The Washington Post's Dana Milbank notes some of the wisdom flowing from Sen. Ted Kennedy regarding Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, when he writes in this piece: (via PoliPunditemphasis added)
"Briefly, Kennedy rewrote the outcome of the 1964 election. 'This nominee was influenced by the Goldwater presidency,' he said. 'The Goldwater battles of those times were the battles against the civil rights laws.' Only then did Kennedy acknowledge that "Judge Alito at that time was 14 years old."
This is why you shouldn't cheat on your exams. In the end , your ignorance will embarrass you.
Amazing he can write at all with a quart of whiskey in his gut!
If only someone could conjure up that interview with Roger Mudd!
Perhaps his comments were ghost-written by one of his cleverer aides.
My recent favorite was when he called Barack Obama "Osama". BTW Goldwater's "Conscience of a Conservative" is one of the best books I've read. It is unbelievable how ahead of his time he was. It was written in 1964, but he talks about arguments we are facing TODAY.
Obviously he can't. Ohhh, I remember fondly the Dewey Presidency, followed by the Perot and Kerry administrations.
Good old Teddy. One of these days, they'll be dragging him frothing at the mouth and slobbering out of the Senate.
It's not nice to say it, but.....the wrong Kennedys (JFK & RFK) were taken from us. Teddy is a moron. Booze, and probably drug, addled. Certainly the worst of the clan at criminal wrong-doing, in that he got caught killing a girl. One crazy sister locked away after being lobotomized, perhaps Teddy shares some defective genetic traits with her. Too bad Teddy was set free and had the family arrange for his dalliance in political affairs.
Well, if nothing else, Kennedy's comments can always be described as fake, but accurate.
(The Mapes response has LOTS of applications!)
ROFLMBO!! Too funny!
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), hosting a morning roundtable with reporters, had nothing nice to say about Alito. "We here in the United States are not going to stand for monarchial tyranny,"
I concur.
So I guess that this means that Ted, his spawn 'patches', and all the others with that inbred Kennedy DNA are going to move to Paraguay???
If they did, they could concentrate all their time on Flying and Skiing lessons. Not that they need any, I hear they're 'expert' sportsmen.
I heard he's suing Applebee's for serving him plain iced tea!

LOL/sarc
Actually, I think is was the New York Times that coined the phrase "fake but accurate." As you say, the phrase has lots of applications to Democratic strategies for attacking the president.
<< One crazy sister locked away after being lobotomized >>
She likely wasn't "crazy" before the mobster manifestation of evil that was called Joe Kennedy - and whose sins are, as we speak, being visited upon at least the third generation - had her mind surgically destroyed.
Just a bit "frisky."
What an evil bunch of gangster bastards, though.
With all of the Kennedy wealth, they could have gauranteed her a full and active life. But apparently that scum Joe was "embarassed" by her existence so lobotomized her and locked her away.
What a thoroughly disgusting family. It's no wonder they're all so damned dysfunctional.
"followed by the Perot and Kerry administrations."
You skipped the more well known Gore presidency.
Compare that pack of mutts with the decent, honorable statesmen of the Bush family, and look which family in fawned over by the MSM. Un-freaking-believable!!!
She wasn't crazy, just incorrigibly promiscuous as a teenager. Old Joe, the bootlegger and friend of fascist dictators, had her lobotomized without even consulting his wife Rose.
I have no idea how this bunch of grifters, drunks, and drug addicts somehow became American royalty.
