Heh, that was very interesting. We have divided into two camps, those who get this jihad thing and know it needs to be crushed in every possible way, and those who don't and who simply want to talk and talk and think of themselves as "players", which they will do until they get their throats slit along with ours.

This is your daily ping for Monday July 31, 2006. The last day of July.

Monday's Guests:

6:29 - Jon Meacham,
7:29 - Sen. John Kerry.
I heard Imus says Bo Deitel would be on at some point.

I didn't hear anything from Jon Meacham that seemed worth mentioning.

Luckily I didn't have to endure Lurch's moaning about how he would have put all his effort into prevent the Jews and the Jew Hating bastards from killing each other. What about Osama? I thought he was going to focus on him like a laser?

Speaking of Jew Hating bastards what about Mel Gibson. Gibson outburst 'was covered up' [Police coverup of antisemitic comments.] My wife who was a huge Mel fan reminded me that he use to be a mean drunk. Apparently he still is.

It was to be a perfect Hollywood ending for Hezbollah. Just as the Israeli bombing of the village of Qana in 1996 brought a premature end to Israel's "Grapes of Wrath operation," so too a sequel of Qana II could change, once and for all, the direction of Israel's current summer blockbuster, "Change of Direction." Ten years ago, world condemnation of an errant Israeli shell that hit a civilian compound forced then-PM Shimon Peres to curtail the offensive against terror bases. The setting was also perfect: Kana was again being used as a primary site for launching rockets against Israeli...

I didn't hear anything profound from Meacham either, except he thinks Ford has a good chance of winning. That scares me.

Kerry was very unimpressive, he did state his position on Lieberman, "I will support whoever wins the Democrat primary". Imus did not remind Kerry and viewers that is exactly Hillary's position, and very disloyal to Lieberman. "Joe doesn't need my help", said Kerry, "the Connecticutt voters will sort it out", he said. What a CYA crock of crap. Kerry wouldn't have accepted that kind of non-support support from a fellow democrat senator when he was running for president.

listening to Kerry over again, I realize how easily it would have been for Imus to poke fun at his logic.

Kerry was attacking Bush for not trying to sqealch Hezzbollah, and he did it by comparing Bush to what had been done in the past. Kerry said in 1993 Warren Christopher got involved and again we got involved in 1996. So get this straight, Kerry is saying he would do what was done in the past, he's attacking Bush for not doing what Clinton did, but he's acknowledging how disasterous the situation is. Sure seems to me Kerry is saying he would do all the same things that obviously did not work.

Perhaps the most maddening MSNBC moments come when they don't identify their "experts" and analysts as Clinton apologists. Case in point, former Albright puppy dog, Nancy Soderberg. There is no more anti-Bush, Madeleine Albright partisan than Soderberg, yet the MSNBC bimbo babe anchorettes never include that caveat when honoring (as MSNBC calls her), "Ambassador Soderberg".

I just LOVE this article!!!

"Coulter: Press Either 'Incompetent' or Full of 'Left-Wing Bias'

By E&P Staff

Published: July 31, 2006 1:00 PM ET

NEW YORK Ann Coulter has some regrets about the harsh comments she frequently makes.

"On a couple of occasions, I was too gentle," the Universal Press Syndicate columnist said in a Sunday interview with Jonathan Pitts of The Sun in Baltimore.

Coulter -- whose comments have included "jokes" about killing various people and groups -- was asked by The Sun to give a couple examples of the many times she says reporters misquote her. "It happens so much I don't keep track," Coulter replied.

Then, speaking of how she feels the press overplays or misrepresents news stories, Coulter added: "Either every single person working in the media today is thoroughly incompetent in every way, or this massive, daily misrepresentation is the result of left-wing bias throughout the media."

The Sun also asked Coulter about the pros and cons of her take-no-prisoners approach. "My thinking is that only trauma produces intellectual breakthroughs," she said. "The plus side is watching liberals get hissy; the downside is -- there really is no downside."

Coulter also told The Sun that "liberal ideology" is a "pack of lies"; Democrats are "sniveling, gutless little America-hater(s)"; "the best video I've seen was of Bush saying 's--t' at the G-8 conference"; and "there will be more people living in peace and freedom when 'W' leaves office than there were when 'W' took office."

In addition, Coulter quipped: "I'm a Christian first and a mean-spirited, bigoted conservative second, and don't you ever forget it."

This is your daily ping for Tuesday August 1, 2006. Another month has passed.

Tuesday's Guests:

6:29 - Evan Thomas,
7:29 - George Stephanopoulos,
In the 8am hour - Billy Joe Shaver

Andrea Mitchell was on at 7:05 discussing the breaking news that Fidel Castro may be near death. Imus says "that stinking commie bastard can't die fast enough. Can he Andrea?". Other end of the phone humina, humina, humina...
She's on her way to see her good friend Fidel (if he's still alive when she gets there).

Evan Thomas actually sounded rational when discussing the Israel/Lebanon conflict even though he had the opportunity to. I'm shocked.

I had to look twice to be sure I was listening to Evan Thomas. Andrea did manage to get in some negative comments about our Secretary of State, but even she did not go too far.

I miss our friend, leadpenny.

Would you believe I just got back? And just as I was getting adjusted to Aloha time. Now I have to start all over. It was about 85 degrees at IAD when we landed about and hour and half ago. It was 70 degrees at SFO at mid day.

Thanks for all the prayers. I talked to so many soldiers I almost missed being in the Army. I'll try to fill everyone in soon. Now, I need some shuteye.

Hey, welcome back. We missed you. I hope you were able to see me waving at your plane. If it were today, I'd have to forgo the pleasure since it's going to be 100 again. The promise of 88 tomorrow actually sounds good.

Can't wait to hear a bit more about your trip. Rest well.
