"When your response to everything that is wrong with the world is to say, "there ought to be a law," you are saying that you hold freedom very cheap.-- Thomas Sowell
But are they virtual machines? Or are they virtually machines?
En passant: I saw a real steamroller (and a real steamshovel) a few days ago (in a museum in Argentina.) I had always heard the terms, but my referents were always diesel powered.
Elections won't make the government more accountable unless we insist that the people we elect are accountable. The buck stops with us. Too many for too long have not been paying attention, or didn't think it affected them personally.
"We've got the best Congress money can buy." - William Penn Rogers (ca 1928)
You may get your wish when the bill for Social Security and Mediscare comes due. It may shatter the existing political hegemony into a thousand pieces, especially once people come to understand that our cowardly politicians waited until the wolf was at the door to buy a shotgun.
We can insist all we want, but there is no mechanism for accountability in our Constitution. The present digging for criminal offenses is one result of this lack, but if the official is not doing criminal things, this approach is limited.
OOOOoooops
That's not the HALF of it. The way your post 20 was worded, you almost had Thomas Sowell speaking Ebonics.
I was preparing a full broadside of Nuclear Sarcasm Torpedoes for you when I happened to read your next post :-)
Cheers!

Nice, but the steamroller should be labelled Free Republic, and the flattened smiley figure either "DU" or "MSM" -- not that there's much difference ;-)
Cheers!
