If NBC really wanted to be 'courageous' they would do a sitcom about a jihadist family trying to fit in.

I actually wrote an email to my NBC local affiliate. Hopefully they will follow this affiliate's lead.

They can moon the public but the sponsors can't afford to...

Thanks for posting. I've already sent an email to WMC in Memphis... General Manager, Community Affairs, Programming, and Sales Manager.
I'd encourage all Freepers to contact your local affiliate, as well.

"The programs main characters include Daniel Webster, a drug-addicted Episcopal priest; his alcoholic wife; his son, a 23-year-old homosexual Republican; his daughter, a 16-year-old drug dealer; a 16-year-old adopted son who is having sex with the bishop's daughter; his lesbian secretary who is sleeping with his sister-in-law; and a very unconventional white-robed, bearded Jesus who talks to the priest. "
Gee... just like my family...

...the show is written by Jack Kenny, a practicing homosexual...
Keep practicing, Jack. Maybe you'll get it right in the end.

The people behind the decision don't care if the show makes money. They want propaganda for their leftist causes, they relish tweaking mainstream america with blasphemy.
To: Mikey_1962
Yup! Just like your typical American family living in flyover country.

There's only so much exploration of the underbelly of human existence that people are willing to watch on TV or at the movies.
Clearly, we have reached our limit.
To: InvisibleChurch
What's that, the return counter at Walmart?
Seriously, my husband & I already decided not to watch the show anyway.

I remember in the 1970s into the '80s almost every movie and many TV shows had a sheet wearing arab character acting either sinister or comical.

I thought we were in favor of free speech. I guess that applies only to people we agree with.
To: InvisibleChurch
Sorry, NBC. I'll be too busy to watch your fab new "edgy" show. I got the Band of Brothers DVD for Christmas.

A local Christian talk program offered the advice that if we just ignore the show, it will go away, but be sure to pray about it... I will admit, this show is red meat to incense the "Jesus freaks." Still, uninformed propaganda such as this would not be tolerated even for cannibalistic animism.
