World 'leaders' have become so arrogant that they think He won't do it again. They are sadly mistaken. Just look what's happening in the world today, and it's not going to get any better.
I read something weird about Sodom and Gomorrah the other day. A left-winger wrote that the sin God was punishing there was not homosexual behavior (and gang rape), but rather bad hospitality toward guests! The argument was that hospitality toward strangers and travelers in the ancient Middle East was a strong custom that had to be respected and God punished the cities for being inhospitable. Now, I suppose homosexual gang rape is extremely poor manners, but I believe God cares more about the deeper sin.
