Letterman should have quit years ago when he was still funny. Now he simply comes across as a bitter old man, and he'll end up being cancelled by CBS, when he could have left gracefully.

"Its not bad....the cable news shows are on at a better time out here. For instance, O'Reilly is on at 5, Hannity at 6, ect..."
But that would put Special Report with Brit Hume on at 3pm when most on the west coast would still be at work.
Thats about the only show I care much about, and it would piss me off if it came on in the middle of the day while I was working...lol

I'm not a big Hannity follower, but I know he's put on shows in support of the troops. I don't know if he's actually been over or not, but he's supported them with his time and money.

As far as I'm concerned, we FOUND THE WMD the day we captured Saddass Hussein!Bears repeating.

Carson interview broadcast on ET, too bad you missed it. Also, Warren Littlefield, Stephen Galloway, Mary Murphy and Timothy Carlson. Carson was writing jokes for Letterman, not Leno, prior to his death. Feel free to cull google for other sources, Thomas.

Every FReeper knows that the Draft Dodger Clinton and the rest of the Lefties are on record for removing Saddass Hussein; so let's not try and rewrite history here...It's funny how everyone on the left was scrambling to prove that GWB wasn't an authentic soldier during Vietnam when they went whole hog for a guy who wrote a letter thanking a Colonel for "saving me from the draft," adding that he wrote the letter "...in the hope that my telling [my] story will help you to understand more clearly how so many fine people have come to find themselves still loving their country but loathing the military..."
Letterman joined the flock of sheep that bought the idea that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were bought and paid for by the Bush campaign, and suggested that it was shameful for Bush to criticize Kerry's service. Bush never criticized Kerry's service, and had no control over what the Swift Vets said (see Amendment, First).
Doonesbury creator Garry Trudeau (Mr. Jane Pauley) went ape over the Swifties' ads, too, failing to disclose that he himself wrote strips in 1992 suggesting that George H.W. Bush's WWII medals for valor after being shot down were just a matter of him being a substandard pilot.

Well, with all due respect - it hasn't been a decade since Mavis has worked on this. She was asked to share her expertise with the White House after we invaded Afghanistan. Mavis really did quite a lot of work exposing what was going on to women under Taliban rule. I sure don't recall anyone else in Hollywood jumping on this bandwagon.
As far as I know she helped organize relief efforts for the women and children of that country after the US liberated it.

I've told you many times my name isn't Thomas, but somehow you still doubt me.

Yeah, Hannity does put on a lot of shows and dedicates a ton of time and money to them and their families. O'Reilly also supports them 100%. Some people just shoot off at the mouth without having any knowledge, like Dave tonight.

... NBC prefered Letterman?Pay attention, Einstein. NBC wanted Leno. Carson wanted Letterman. NBC won in case you hadn't noticed.

Wow, you're pretty damn abusive, chester.
How do you type with your mouth wrapped around Letterman's . . . press releases?
