If you haven't been on many illegal immigration threads in the past, you may not have seen this thread. Yes, I have been on many illegal immigration threads in the past. Usually, any suggestion that may have a positive outcome for illegals draws a great deal of activity, sometimes of a very personal nature.
The desired ordered immigration outcomes
- capture and detain terrorist who attempt entry
- exclude known criminals and gang members
- Maintain Republican national leadership
- track aliens in the USA
- enforce visa departure dates
- revoke green cards and visas of undesirables
- revoke naturalized citizenship obtained under false pretense.
- support the US demand for labor
The methods to achieve the outcomes
- Erect a barrier at the nations borders where practical
- Patrol the borders
- Catch and deport/incarcerate rather than catch and release
- Voluntary registration with limited stay of working illegals (made legal by registration)
- Swift deportation of those failing to register
- Regularize immigrant temporary and permanent labor to relieve the pressure at the border.
Other outcomes and methods or the order of importance can be debated, but xenophobia is foolish. The hard line of mass forced deportation would cause Republican to lose the White House, House of Representatives, the Senate, and all keys to the Washrooms. It is a loser for Republican leadership of the nation, Democrat election campaigns with MSM support would have a field day, and Democrat control is just plain dangerous to the nation.

"The hard line of mass forced deportation would cause Republican to lose the White House, House of Representatives, the Senate, and all keys to the Washrooms. It is a loser for Republican leadership of the nation,..." If you're still talking about, "The hard line of mass forced deportation...", then you didn't read
They Will Deport Themselves
What polls are you looking at that have you jumping to the conclusion that Hispanics, legally in this country, would vote against Republicans for motivating illegal aliens to return home and stay home by enforcing our existing laws?

"...xenophobia is foolish..." Race-baiting is repugnant and reprehensible.
