Truthtwister9 is explicitly claiming that not only are humans not descended from Neandertals, and humans did not interbreed with them (what the articles he's citing ACTUALLY claim) but that humans and neandertals are not related in any way, and do not share a common ancestor.
Well the burden is Truthtwister9's to prove his contention.
I live just a few miles from Dover, PA and have been watching the debate about intelligent design with a mixture of amusement & disgust. "Amusement," because ID strikes me a weak theory and an intellectual shortcut; and "Disgust" that a local school board is not allowed to control its own curricula -- that it has to be decided by a federal judge sitting in Harrisburg or DC.
