A NATURAL EXPERIMENT [Iain Murray] If it's true that more women are having "unwanted babies," then that provides an interesting natural experiment to test Steven Levitt's theory that, all other things being equal, more abortions means less crime. Keep an eye on those crime statistics in 12-15 years from now. Posted at 04:34 PM

DNC: BUSH IS LYING ABOUT BRIEFING CONGRESS [Byron York]
The Democratic National Committee has just released a statement which appears to claim that the president is lying when he says the administration briefed members of Congress on the NSA spying program:
With his credibility in tatters, President Bush may have fielded questions, but he failed to explain why he may have ignored both federal law and the Constitution in ordering the NSA to spy on Americans. This disturbing abuse of power has become a disturbing hallmark of the Bush administration over the past five years. The President now seems to be hiding behind a false claim that he briefed members of Congress. In the spirit of the President's newfound candor, we call upon him to correct the record, explain why members of Congress were left in the dark and support an investigation into this secret spying program...
I guess that stupid Bush fooled her again.
Leno once mentioned that if the man is a stupid as the dems portray him, how can they continually whine that Bush fooled them with pre-Iraq itelligence...and now this NSA non-issue?
Who's the stupid one?
Hmmmmmmm
"I was advised of President Bush's decision to provide authority to
the National Security Agency to conduct unspecified activities shortly
after he made it and have been provided with updates on several
occasions," Pelosi admitted.
I would also lay odds that there are records of the briefings along with attendance records which should be released unless they are classified.
They have gone completely off the rails. This isn't spin any longer. It's outright lying.
Thanks for that, at least. It really didn't take long for them to turn.
They are so so screwed. The Howard Dean Democrats are going to force their party to ride their rabid stupidity down in flames. Doesn't matter what the "New Democrats" want. The Deanies are going to destroy the party just like the McGovernites demolished it in 1972 only this time their will be NO Watergate to save them.
Every time they complain or make an accusation, they are painting a picture of the world they live in. They presume others do these things because it is what they themselves do.
Oh, I'd bet my house there are records of these briefings. The president and his administration can't sneeze or say hello without a record being made of the contact.
He does seem to be having quite the good time of handing them their own back sides back on a platter, doesn't he?
Has anyone considered that if the Dims capture the House and Pelosi becomes speaker that she would be in the Presidential line of succession? I think that would be a great campaign ad for 2006. "Vote Democrat and This could be your Commander-in Chief" That would scare the bejesus out of me.
It defines the process by which the President was allowed to do what he did. The Administration can easily prove the dates, times, and attendees of these briefings even if they can't disclose the contents of the briefings.
He must brief Congress but is not required to get their permission.

I'd love for Bush to authorize the release, with appropriate redactions, of the minutes from the Congressional briefings. I'm willing to bet that the rats were fully briefed.
I would so love to shove this crap right down their throats, or up some other orifice.
A congressional report made public yesterday concluded that President Bush and his inner circle had access to more intelligence and reviewed more sensitive material than what was shared with Congress when it gave Bush the authority to wage war against Iraq.We know Bush lied...we don't have the proof...but we know he did! Good grief...they must have found a job for Dan Rather at the DNC, ROTFLMAO!The report does not cite examples of intelligence Bush reviewed that differed from what Congress saw. If such information is available, the report's authors do not have access to it.
hmmm...but I don't hear much from the vocal minority/traitority...(Reid, Pelosi,Kennedy, Rodham, et al.) Could it be that 'W' is telling the truth here??? Stay tuned!!!
Can you post that even more relevant section for us?
I guess Pelosi dosn't count as being in congress? She admitted being briefed. So did Harry Reid. Man the DNC in inept.
