I don't consider Maryland part of the North East. It is below the Mason Dixon-line and I believe part of the Mid-Atlantic States.

OK. I grew up in the coastal areas of Virginia and the Carolina's , so Maryland was always Northeast to me(or actually just plain North).LOL!

But your point about the Mason-Dixon Line is well taken.
