PARIS, France (AP) -- French counterterrorism agents on Thursday arrested three suspects believed to have "indirect links" to al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a police spokeswoman said.
The round-up near Paris was connected to a similar sweep Monday near the capital and in the northern Oise region that netted 25 suspects, said national police spokeswoman Catherine Casteran.
The three arrested Thursday were believed to be part of a terror ring with "indirect links" to Zarqawi, she said, but did not provide further details immediately.
Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, speaking in parliament on Wednesday, described a web of links between the alleged network in France -- which police say included both Islamic militants and common criminals -- and other terror cells and groups, including Zarqawi.

Isn't this arrest sort of an admission there is such a thing as terrorism? I thought France was in denial on that topic, and especially within the boarders of France.
Zarqawi's network is huge it goes though almost 40 countries now.
Most American's don't hear a peep of that.
An indirect link, huh? So you mean that they have Zarq's uncle's barber's lover's French cousin in custody? Cool.
Butbutbutbutbut I thought Al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq?
france is in a bigger hurt than they admit
