No, of course pot doesn't make you a murderer. But it does tend to make people lazy and unambitious. At the same time it costs a lot of money, and crime is one of the easier ways to pay for it.
Normally, we're talking about mugging, petty robbery, and that kind of thing. The only connection it might have with murder is that it could slightly release the inhibitions and self control that can keep people from following out their urges.
