Hey, I've knocked Anderson Cooper pretty hard. But this is by far the most balanced report to come out of the MSM (Fox not included) that I have seen.
Kudos to Mr. Cooper.

Yikes, CNN is actually reporting how we soldiers feel about their reporting in Iraq. What is the MSM coming to? Who KNOWS what could happen next...

Made it past the censors. Somebody's sleeping on the job over at CNN.

Well, there is this statement that I'm sure will be picked up by the libs:
I'm always incredibly impressed by the U.S. service members I meet here. They are not all as optimistic and supportive of the mission as the captain I spent time with today, but they are all dedicated to their units, devoted to their fellow troops.

(Cooper: 'I had my first gun pointed at me today')
The guy holding the gun thought Cooper was a chicken.

CNN and those employed at CNN cannot deny the fact that they do not report the news but only promote a liberal agenda. CNN cannot excuse their treasonous actions by saying that they TV tends to focus only on bombs and bullets. They report with a bias toward attacking President Bush, I don't care how much they try to parse their words.

Yeah his report seems encouraging, but if you read between the lines, it's same old same old MSM reporting!

What did I miss? Did the earth take a sudden turn on it's axes? This reads like an honest report. I'm in shock!

He had to throw that in, he could not help himself, even though I'm guessing he met 1 or 2 guys out of 50 that fit that description. Still, coming from CNN, it's a HUGE improvement.
Do you need my mailing address, BTW? ;o)

Want a hint as to why the MSM coverage is beginning to shift? Take a look at the one year chart for the NY Times. Worth a thousand words.

And yet, he includes a statement that all of them complain about the MSM coverage.
The MSM has a lot to answer for.
Our troops are overwhelming convinced this war is being won, and the Iraqi's overwhelmingly convinced Iraq is on the right track. Yet the MSM has spun otherwise. What do they know that the people fighting the war and living there don't?
Propaganda. That's all the MSM is useful for anymore, propaganda against the United States of America, current president and Republicans/conservatives/Christians in general.

I guess he remembered what happened when his former boss Eason claimed that troops were purposely targeting journalists.

It's Guinness, isn't it? Maybe a little bet on the outcome of the '06 elections?

Last night on the Tonight Show, during his monologue Jay Leno said that a recent poll showed that "Iraquis were happy living in Iraq and are satisfied about the direction the country is going - evidently they don't get the New York Times over there."
The audience laughed and applauded loudly.
Hmm!

Somebody high up at CNN must be scared.
They've seen the falling numbers at NY Times, Chicago Trib, LA Times, etc.
And decided to do something really radical so they don't join
the dinosaurs in the journalistic tar-pits.
Radical like...telling the truth.
(This first dawned on me a few days ago when one thread noted
that CNN was actually speaking the truth about Gov. Blanco's incompetence.)

LOL. You noticed. Yes, we can bet, but instead of it being "you'll buy me xxx if...", we'll put sumthin on the line for you that I'd have to pay up this time if I lose.

That's as good of analysis as I can conjure up. But I'm also thinkin' they'll snap out of it within hours and go back to reporting exclusively biased, negative news. ;o)
