Well I will not argue the fine points with you. You live next to them and watch your property value gain nothing in 10 yrs time. I won't.

Indian cooking does give out seemingly offensive smells, and it is somewhat understandable to not want to live near them for this reason.

My home county of about 700,000 people is now 14% Asian-American, evenly split between East Asian and South Asian; my home town has an even high percentage of Asian residents, particularly South Asian.

The value of my father's house has doubled in the last 8 years. I doubt the presence of Asian immigrants has been much of a factor, except insofar as they're drawn by the good reputation of the schools and then help to maintain the reputation once they're there.

Of course you won't argue the fine points....a couple of posters have already shown how illogical your original argument was. Here is some advice - please find out some truth about the people you are trying to slander. Ignorance does not work on a forum like this because you are doing to be called on your ignorance and misrepresentations.

Finally, steretyping is not a good practice, especially when it is based on your weird experience with one neighbor of unknown origin.

Gee, I do have Hindians living next to me, and three houses down, and around the corner. They all spent more than $500k to buy into the neighborhood and yet our market values keep going up. The parents are all multi-degreed folks (usually health-care types - you know - Doctors). They all work hard. Their kids are just like any other American kids. They all take care of their property. In other words, they are ideal neighbors. Do you yourself meet these standards?
