It's painfully obvious that if the so-called moderate Muslims existed, they would be more outraged at the things being done by members of their own so-called religion. Since the early 80's Islam has grown to become the number one terrorist breeding tank on earth. Their purpose is not political,as the MSM and, sadly, our own government, would have us believe. It's not about economic reality , i.e., the poor or have-nots, nor is it about nationalism, ideology or even world politics. It's about religion. They kill in the name of their false god and swear to spread their cancerous filth to every corner of the globe until only they remain. Religious fervor is a dangerous tool when wielded by infantile minds...........

Christian missionarys never forced religion on any people with a threat of death if they didn't convert.
Islam is totally opposite. And arrogant in their intentions. Convert or die.

I choose death......them first.

I would slightly disagree, if you read what Pipes says, Islamism is really no different than Nazism or Communism, sure there is a religious cloack that it's wrapped in, but the domination of a nation by sharia seems to me to be both a political as well as religious goal.

I completely agree with this view that a barbaric religious fervor is at the heart of this, plain and simple. Your point is both profound and yet obvious for all to understand...and yet it seems lost in a mire of analysis. Case and point: Iran's president makes inflammatory, provocative speeches, and yet we analyze his statements to death. The West has a hard time taking political statements at face value; we assume all politicians don't really mean what they say; we assume all politicians have ulterior motives. But this time he DID mean it. He meant it LITERALLY.

Comparisons to communism and fascism mostly muddle our understanding of something so barbarically simple, blunt and dangerous because there IS no mask or front here. This is not communism cloaked in environmentalism. We better toughen ourselves and remove the cataracts from our eyes or we're in for terrible and ugly surprises.

Well that's part of the explanation.

At least 80% of American mosques are controlled and were built by the Saudi Wahhabis and through ISNA, the Islamic Society of North America, which is controlled by Saudi money, the radical Islamists control American Islam.

These people stomp on the most moderate ones.

The Chicago Trib or the Sun Times did a story last year on what was going on in area mosques and when the MSM starts picking up on it, then it must be far worse than it seems.

In short the radicals have done a very thorough job in supressing those that they disagree with.
