Here is one of my favorite articles from The Economist that explains why so many third world countries are in the condition they are in. I always have this handy to rub in the face of any socialist who goes off on a rant about how 'People are poor because we live so well....'

An excellent article. We have to look out for the same "problem solving" methods employed by our government here at home.

How often do we hear from our government that the best solution to our government-caused problems is more government? Surprisingly, we hear it a lot, though the problem is rarely identified as being caused by the government's policies.

Thanks Yank. Good Economist article. I believed all of that about regulations impeding commerce and industry but the article packaged it so nicely.
