Yeah...your hair looked like it was on fire when the sun shown through it.
***shiver*** It really is getting colder and you know, I think the snow is beginning to fall a little harder. Oh! Look up....there is a hawk circling up there. How does he stand it in the cold. There must be a mouse or something that shows up on the white blanket of snow.
Tazzy...you never have a hanky anywhere you go! Ms.B...can she use yours...it's been this way every year we've done this since we tromped behind Poppa when we were 4,6, and 8 years old. Tazzy never had a hanky! Now....who has the saw?...I see a tree right through that little opening in the trees...see over there to the left...it stands straight and tall....just perfect!
Oh Luv,
That first peek at the one is so exciting.
Raises goose bumps every time. It makes me feel like I am 8 again.
That was the year Poppa came across the walnut tree.
I couldn't believe he climbed it. Just wrapped his big strong thighs and arms around it and up he went.
I was awed. Shoot, I always had to jump for the lowest branch and thread my way up from branch to branch.
He got way up there and then stomped the branches. Now I knew what the burlap sack was for, and no wonder old gloves, never the new pair. They sure were shot.
Thanks for the Hanky Ms. B..
I think this really is the one.
