John does kinda look like Waldo.
ping
LOL - you do have to admit that the "Tookie Must Die" hour has been entertaining - did you catch the "real" founder of the Crips basically saying if Arnold will not kill Stanley, he would be glad to do it?
No.
But that's funny.
Senator John Kyl is on right now!
Did Hugh or Campbell mention that Jim Gilchrist actually received more election day votes than Campbell? Probably not.
Oh, you've got to be kidding me?! "Election Day" votes is the best you can do? Gore won the popular vote in 200 too, did you realize that?
I think the election day votes is pretty good for a third-party candidate who only campaigned for about 12 weeks. Gore had the backing of the party machine, as did Campbell. Also, as you know in the Presidential election popular votes don't matter.
I'll take your response to mean that neither Hugh or Campbell mentioned this little fact.
I have no idea since I don't listen to Hugh's radio program - election day votes don't matter either if you have more than enough absentee ballot votes - Campbell campaigned just as long as Gilchrist did.
You're right Gilchrist lost. But, it matters in that voters sent a message about how pissed off they are about illegal immigration.
"I think the election day votes is pretty good for a third-party candidate who only campaigned for about 12 weeks. Gore had the backing of the party machine, as did Campbell. Also, as you know in the Presidential election popular votes don't matter."
Darn right it's pretty good. Let the OBL shills be warned.
Oooh! I'm really scared of all those 23,237 voters . . . some "message"?!
Maybe you should not be worried about those 23,000 votes, but you should still be worried.
There are enough people nationwide who are so disguested with inaction that they may very well stay home next election day, or vote third party. Are yo uwilling to take that chance?
Secondly, if you had to make an educated guess at this point in time, which party do you think that millions of new citizens, if they were to be legalized such as is spelled out in McCain/Kennedy, would vote for? I think its a pretty safe bet it would not be the Republicans, regardless of whether or not they do pass an amnesty bill(I hope they do not).
You were right to go after John & Ken. They went after you and Medved the other day. Perhaps they do this all the time-- I wouldn't know. Anyway, you should point out how childish the forum and the content of their show is.
And then please consider fixing your show opening. It's a mess. I don't know why you dropped your trademark theme song. I do think adding sound bites from the news of the day is good as is an announcer introducing you and your background. The whole opening you have now is sloppily produced.
I'm emailing you with a suggestion for a new theme song if you are determined to ditch the old one.
Knight Ridders' Steve Henderson's hit piece today on Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.

I find Hugh a reliable source of koolaid.
But pass on his "fish" sandwiches.
The Hotline's Take on the 48th

Don't Believe The Hype?
Is "immigration" the great overlooked issue that is ready to shoot up the "importance" chart? Or is it simply the obsession of a passionate, and vocal, minority of GOPers?
-- The results out of immigration's first big electoral test in CA 48 seem to favor the latter. Minuteman founder Jim Gilchrist (I) spent approx $500K (nearly 4 times the Dem nominee), was covered in the media as if he were the chief challenger to eventual winner John Campbell (R) and was running in one of the most immigration-focused CDs (the O.C.).
-- And yet, Gilchrist finished 3rd with 25%, trailing a Dem nominee who couldn't even top 10% in the 1st round of voting.
-- We have yet to see a nat'l poll showing immigration topping double-digits in importance, and anecdotal evidence tells us Jerry Kilgore's immigration hit didn't impact swing voters in VA GOV. Clearly, it's important to a vocal segment of GOPers, but whether it's an issue that moves swing voters is up for debate. Could THE lawmakers hearing so much about immigration be falling victim to a minority of constituents who just happen to show up to town meetings?
Bad analysis by the Hotline editors. The issues surrounding border security are real and do resonate with voters, but the new Congressman, John Campbell, addressed those issues every day of the campaign and walked away with the race despite the huge effort by the Gilchrist forces and the round-the-clock pumping of Gilchrist by local talk radio pot-and-pan bangers who tried unsuccessfully to distort Campbell's very strong positions. Had Campbell not been very solid on these issues, he'd have had a much tougher race. Message to GOP: Be very strong on border security and stay far away from amnesty.
Message to monomaniacal talk radio hosts (Michael Savage?): You can't fool even a quarter of the people half of the time. Voters know who is strong on the border, and on all the other crucial issues, esepcially the war, as well.
What's a "fish" sandwich?
Hewitt was slamming John and Ken, not the kook.
Agreed.
Just wait until (I pray to be wrong) there is an attach by a terrorist who came over our southern border, suddenly there will be outrage and shock.
