I found something interesting this morning, although I don't see how I could have missed it before, as much as I have researched Cannistraro and Johnson. All reports I have read say that Larry Johnson (always cited as "an associate of Vincent Cannistraro's") was the first to state that an Italian Parliamentary Commission Report implicated Ledeen in the forgeries, followed by like allegations by Cannistraro and Philip Giraldi. One such report is
here. But according to an article I just found by
Laura Rozen, there never was a parliamentary report and in a very odd twist, Cannistraro is quoted as backing that up. This is the report that Fitzgerald supposedly got a copy of from the Italians, as reported in the MSM. But if there was no report, there's something strange going on with this whole thing.
