If nothing else, CA conservatives would just rather tell you how much smarter they are than everyone else while their State goes to hell in a handbasket.Yup.

Yes, you're too ****ing stupid. I collected signatures for the intiatives (which R-nold bailed on one of them), I walked precincts (encountering a RINO union shill along the way), did mailings, did voter registration (more abuse by union shills), yada yada yada. So once again, good riddance little divisive cancerous keyboard warrior princess. Opus, stage left.Did you take your regular "ugly pill" for this posting?

how many Conservatives, do you really think there are in California? About 13% of the electorate that voted in 2003.
To: Alia
and they work as a team They are organized as wolf packs. Have you seen the length of their ping lists. They are unable to stand alone because they are so wacked out they need their friends for moral support.
They are as nutty as the DU moonbats.

(moonbat conservatives are those who would rather lose to a liberal than support a moderate)
To: Tempest
As far as I'm concerned the lefty "true conservatives" are the one that have abandoned the party first. Document that claim or drop it. Conservatives held their noses and backed Wilson. "Moderates" returned the favor and screwed Bill Simon.

This would be a party of the Radical Middle, unbeholden to the devoutly religious on the Right and the blacks and unions on the Left. It would be conservative on fiscal issues but libertarian on social issues, a good mix for a suburban party. As such, it would draw moderate Republicans and moderate-to-conservative Democrats out of their respective parties and splinter both parties simultaneously. Freed of ties to special interests, it could propose truly radical solutions to problems. The suburbs are where middle-class Americans live (and in the Red/Blue dichotomy, they're purple). What you say makes some sense. I give it about 25% chance of happening -- more if McCain makes a serious run at the Presidency.

I voted with my feet six months ago PRECISELY for that reason. My electric bills are half of what I was paying, everything is cheaper. I saw the writing on the wall...but I will always love the years I spent in CA, that's why it's so sad.

Seems pretty bleak, no? And that's why there's so much dissention on these boards, in my opinion...we're all in one of those camps and all those camps are losing the battle to the other side. It does seem so futile...I guess that shows you the camp I'm in at the moment.

"But this thread is about California politics and I just don't see how this person can be so cocky about what goes on and how to fix it."
Not that it's any of your business, but half my family is in California, so I have vested interest there. Unlike you, who's goes around berating real Republicans and threatening your opponents with violence, I've spent years studying political dynamics, what works, what fails. Not just in California but in other states as well. Like I said, if any of it IS your business. But I don't have to prove myself to a cut-and-run Murtha RINO like you.

What happened is you just got mugged by a RINO. I got mugged by one once here in Tennessee named Scumquist. I never got mugged by him again.

Bill Simon's campaign died after he won the nomination (and I say that as a vigorous Simon supporter). I'll point out many other states that gave Kerry even wider margins of victory and yet Republicans have managed to win. Rhode Island is ostensibly the most Democrat state in the nation, yet it elected a CONSERVATIVE Republican Governor. If you run strong candidates, not jellyfish, ones who don't APOLOGIZE for their belief system, they CAN win. California has demonstrated, with the lone exception of Ah-nold (in a highly unusual and one-time situation), that nominating RINOs is a losing proposition.
