While it is important to be thankful on Thanksgiving, his words remind us to be thankful each and everyday for the sacrifices of our American troops.

The Democrats want us out of Iraq and never mind that the Baathists will fill the vacuum and all Iraq will be screaming in pain except the murderers, who will exult -- especially Osama bin Laden. Can it be that the Democrats really want to surrender to the same man who killed 3,000 civilians on 9/11 and laughed about it? Are we so weak that in only four years, after a war smaller in casualties than many unknown battles of the Civil War, we are already eager to surrender to the man who murdered women and children and made terrified couples hold hands and leap to their deaths from the World Trade Center? If so, there really is little hope for us as a people. Isn't this precisely what the Democrats want?

I'd like to add #6:
If America and the West don't fight and defeat Islamofascism in Iraq and the middle East, the Islamofascists will nuke New York City and Washington DC and other American cities off the map as soon as they can.
As far as I'm concerned, that's the main reason to fight the Islamofascists.

Thanx for the ping, firstly. Secondly ... "I cannot believe this man (Fitzgerald) would, if he thought about it, want to spend one iota of his energy helping the enemies of this country, but in my humble opinion, that's just what he's doing. I may be wrong." ... this prosecutor is serving his first love, the democrap party (I know it appears that he's 'unbiased', apolitical in leanings, but his actions speak far louder than anything else), and it is that party, nearly to the last politician (Lieberman excluded), which is now consciously and in cogent calculation aiding and abetting the terrorist enemy we fight around the world, done with full understanding that they are hurting our troops and aiding the killers of our troops with their lust for getting back in power. But that should surprise no one since it is this same party which defends the slaughter of more than 40,000,000 alive unborn as a means to empower their political ghouls through 'choice'.
Ben is too much the gentleman to put it this way, but the democrat party is filled with leftists so dangerous and so seditious now, they need to be swept from the political landscape and sent to 'never-again land'.
Sadly, the current pubbie leadership in Congress has proven themselves to be just as corrupt in out-of-control spending, with the added flaw of believing they can write unlimited checks upon an account that is not growing in a healthy fashion (taxes), and I won't even address the lack of Republican cajones to fight the needed battles over Constitutionally conservative judges and legislation to end the government/court protected slaughter of alive unborn children and exploitation of the unborn at embryo age.
Americans don't realize it yet, but this nation is at the brink of drowning in caca, ripe to embrace the worst future wrapped in a Hatellary Rodhamster presidency.

Is this really what the Democrats want? Can they really contemplate with calm equanimity the mass murders that will follow a sudden U.S. withdrawal? Why not? They managed just fine doing that with Cambodia and South Vietnam.

Dated only nine-ten days ago, so discursive and fickle are our "news-cycles", that there are references in this piece we have already forgotten about. What happened to "the climate of corruption" the Dems were having a field day with 6 or 8 weeks ago? The Tom De Lay indictment, this Wilson/Valerie Plame non-story, and another one I can't remember now, but what=the=hell, it's already been replaced by the Duke Cunningham bribery charges. It looks like both Wilson and his wife, not to mention Fitzgerald were pursuing this "story" ( and that's what it was), merely for the purpose of FINALLY getting the opportunity to become celebrities. As the days and weeks wind on, it will fade and fade and fade some more, and even the Dems who a month ago were beating the drums for "NO PARDONS" , in a pathetic orgy of premature ejaculation, will let it go, because nothing had been proven against Rove or Libby or anyone else, and never will. That's not what this was about, but it tragically IS what partisan politics is about in our country in the early 21st Century: clamor,
drum-beating,posturing, imagery, innuendo, guilty-til-proven innocent, and the policy of "let's play it out as far and long as we can, so that the imagery of guilt will linger even after the investigation ends and the charges are dropped, and this "thing" that monopolized the political news for MONTHS will in retrospect, prove to be just another pageant of smoke and mirrors, or as Shakespeare put it, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".
Having said all that, thanks for posting this piece, which is one of the most heartfelt things I have read from Ben/
