Way too close. 30 houses damaged and it hit the cemetary too.

Not for nothing does the Knight
also know the bard's mystique,
weaving Wyrd in ways just right,
to make the fate so bright, less bleak,

to banish a faithful elven lass
for such a dark thing to pass,
a knight cannot, will not suffer
for shall be shield, cloak and buffer,

Not in dreadful nights be spent,
but only in the dark of sleep
sighing slumber to dreams she went,
a pact and covenant shall keep,

Faithful guard of queenly pride,
woven words they cannot hide,
to wait and watch, for just that chance,
to wake with kisses, and rejoin the dance,
spell be thwarted, Wyrd be riven,
the bard with song, the night has driven,
and "Aure Entuluva!" in the elven tongue,
"Day Shall Come Again!"

#1 son, wife, and kidlet seem all to be well.
#2 son, and sick wife are back in LA.
Libbi is still suffering with a bad cold.
I am taking vitamins and zicam and trying to ward off the cold.

Oh thy dedicated knight
whose words bring forth light
into the saddened fairies night
quieting, whirling winds around
the stillness of the midnight sound
in the chambers do abound
resounding from the stony walls
whistling down the drafty halls.

Thy presence here doth calm the winds
sate the mind, and calm the tongue.
In gratitude I pass the chalice of wine
to sup across the waters where thou be.

Suffer not at this plight
that will pass in a forth night
when the moon doth come the quarter
Venus and Mars shall be the guide
to thine ever attending side.
For the comfort of the castle is the best to be
Lord and Lady, he on his knee
and she a partner to the dance
in the sands, or on the grass.

Suffer not thy head with grief
the lass is best to know the leaf
of golden pastures round the bend
when homeward bound thou comest again.

Just a little safety warning that came from our OPSEC Officer at work today. Watch it out there.

Be cautious and observe your surroundings:

On 21 November, in the Phoenix area, a woman was driving when she observed red and blue lights behind her so she pulled to the right and stopped. She noticed the motorcycle with the red and blue lights was a light colored sports motorcycle and the driver was wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt. The motorcycle operator was described as a white male in his late 20's with short light brown hair and "a few days growth" of beard. Further, the subject had a muscular build.

The subject approached the woman and requested her driver's license and registration. She confronted the subject stating he was not a police officer in uniform nor was his motorcycle a police motorcycle. The woman stated the subject became irate and ordered her to roll down her window all the way. The woman said she became more frightened and told the subject she would comply when they were at the police department and told the subject o follow her. The woman stated the subject followed her until she actually pulled into the parking lot of the local police department station then "the subject took off." She was unable to obtain the license plate on the motorcycle.

Stay safe.

Suffer not with grief? I fear
the royal mind does not see clear,
Her bodyguard I would ransom,
with payment and a reward so handsome,
I mend the riven weave of Wyrd
the mending must be seared,
and not unfinished to be unmade.

Return her to the glade,
to secret places under shade,
her watch to be kept
guard and ward should not be swept
aside so cavalier.

For how can dance wend on its way
if somewhere a charge falls prey
to woven spell, when the nap is stroked,
the weave returned and spell bespoke,
Nay, say I! the needle thread
shall make the knotted nap to leave,
elf return, pixie sing,
flight of fairy around the ring,
make the heart to sing once agian!

On the pentagonchannel page where we watch AFN News, on the lower left side, is a short report and clip of the tornadoes that touched down at Fort Riley. 20 families displaced!

Thanks, Kathy...going there now. I am assuming Red and kids weren't one of those families. Prayers for the ones who were.
