Congressman Murtha would like to know what you think about troop deployment in Iraq. Please indicate which of the following best summarizes your view on what the United States should do in Iraq:
We should immediately remove all troops.
We should redeploy to the periphery of Iraq as soon as practical to protect troop safety and give the Iraqis incentive to take charge sooner, not later.
We should maintain current troop levels until Iraq builds an army to defend and stabilize their country, even if that takes years.
We should re-institute the national draft to increase troop levels to where we can seal the Iraqi borders and stop the passage of insurgents and insurgent-supply missions.
None of the above

Earlier it was giving the results of the poll, overwhelmingly in favor - now that results page has disappeared. Coincidence?
To: WBL 1952
They fixed it. The poll as originally coded allowed multiple anonymous votes. DU was all over it.

Running a war on a poll. Foolishness.

Well, my answer is "none of the above," because I believe the correct answer is that such decisions belong the the Commander in Chief and his advisers, and the commanders in the field.
As usual in such manipulated polls, the questions are vague and silly, all but the first.

When I voted it was 60% for staying the course.
I noticed this time they are not running a tally of the votes.

In other words this alleged man of principle - in reality a sniveling crybaby hack - is conducting a poll on whether America should fight or surrender.
What a blackhearted scummer this pantywaist is.

Cong. Murtha's teary, anti-Iraq war speeches of late are telling me that his personal experiences in Vietnam are affecting his judgement now. He breaks down while talking about Vietnam and Iraq, and he claims "Iraq is becoming another Vietnam". He says he feels sorry for our wounded soldiers and our troops who left family back home. ALL of this is reminiscent of a man who is reliving a sad part of his past life and doesn't want to 'inflict' it on this generation of Americans.
What Murtha seems to be forgetting in his old age is that these are different times we live in. Terrorism is an immediate, clear danger to our homeland, our Western allies, and our foreign interests. We have toppled a despotic Islamic regime in Iraq and have opened up a battle field against international terrorists over there, which is military genius. All that remains of resistence is an insurgency that can eventually be dealt with by the Iraqis themselves. This is no time to cut and run, while the enemy is reeling and resorting to desparate measures.
Thanks for your service Mr. Murtha, but your 'cut and run' thinking would only create another Vietnam, rather than avoid one.

You can ignore the name and addy stuff and just click "submit".
Strange the running results have been removed, though. His preferred result must be losing big like it was earlier.
